Baekhyun wouldn't normally prefer a zombie for a girlfriend, but if it was Kim Taeyeon, then that would be perfectly fine.
Not that Taeyeon was his girlfriend, but she will be.
He hoped that they would gain a level up in their relationship soon, preferably as fast as he does in his video games, but for now, his duty was to cheer her on for her college exam which had unfortunately transformed her into the walking dead.
The night before the seniors' most awaited college exams, Hyora and Baekhyun found themselves sitting outside the nearby convenience store discussing their plan of action over instant noodles.
"How about we blindfold her and surprise her?"
Baekhyun scowled. "You mean kidnap her?"
"Hey, it's not kidnapping!" Hyora complained.
"That's what I said when Jongdae and I picked you guys up for our spontaneous summer trip."
"That was different!" she protested. "Anyway, isn't that such a brilliant idea?"
"It's not."
Hyora glared at him.
Baekhyun raised his hands up defensively. "What? It's true! She might kick us in the face or something if we put a blindfold on her."
"Yeah, maybe you're right," Hyora said. "Taeyeon unnie can be feisty."
They gobbled up their noodles, the slurping sounds filling the air along with the occasional beeps of vehicles and footsteps of passersby.
Baekhyun set his bowl down. "How about we leave clues? You know, like, leave a note on her desk that says 'go to this' then there'll be another note in that area that'll lead her to another one—"
"You want her to go treasure hunting," Hyora concluded drily.
"No!" he said. "Not treasure hunting! The notes will eventually lead to me of course, where we can surprise her. Or maybe instead of notes we can use some people that'll give her roses or something then they'll direct her—"
"Baekhyun," she interrupted, "it's tiring to go from one place to another. Do you want Taeyeon unnie running around the school like some sort of detective?"
"But won't it be exciting? It's gonna be as thrilling as—"
"Treasure hunting."
"Yes—" He hesitated. "No! Well, yeah, I guess..."
"Oh my God, that's too much work," she whined. "Whatever. We'll consider that. But first, are we sure on the bouquet now?"
He nodded. "Yeah. I think she'll like it. But I'm still torn between purple or blue."
