2. The Time He Realized.

I opened my eyes to a cream white ceiling. But how? I was dead. Was I? I don't remember anything. 

"He is awake!" I heard a lady shout. Then soon my vision was filled with curious stares of young ladies. I sat up in my bed. Damn my head hurts. Only then I realized all of the ladies were wearing same outfit. A black gown with white apron. Oh they must be maids. 

"Are you feeling okay, your highness?" One of them asked. I stared at her before pointing at myself. 

"Me?" I asked. I am 'your highness' ? The maids murmured something among themselves. The one who questioned nodded, shushing the others. I don't remember any of this.

"Who are you?More importantly, who am I?" I asked, not sure how to phrase my question. The maid's complexion paled. 

"Your highness?" She gasped. "Did you lose your memories?" It wasn't impossible. She then whispered something to another maid and she hurriedly rushed out of door. A very huge door. 

"I am Edna. I have been your personal maid ever since you were born." The one who asked the question smiled at me. My personal maid? That's new. I don't remember having maids. Edna doesn't sound familiar either. The maid returned with a man. The man took a seat beside my bed while the maid stood in corner clutching her hands to her chest. The man examined me and asked some questions. I felt weird but knew well enough to not move till the man is done. He then turned to Edna, and discussed somethings with her. Not soon after he left, the door burst open and three men entered. 

"We heard that his highness lost his memories." said one of them. He was tall, had broad shoulders and well defined biceps. He was wearing a silver armor. He turned to me and knelt. 

"Your highness, I am Roy Elfern, your loyal servant and chief of knights." I stayed silent, it has been a few our since i woke up but except for the first question I haven't spoken a word. I was too confused to form words. Then the two other men followed Roy. The knelt behind him.

"I am Grey Russel, and this Shadow Lidon." One of them introduced and similarly I acknowledged silently. 

"His Highness, The king, your father had been informed of your condition, he will make a visit soon." Roy reported. The king? This is what I gathered: I am a crown prince, however I don't live in the capital with the rest of royal family, I live in this palace which belonged to my mother the second queen. Roy and Edna has been serving me since my birth. The maids have also introduced themselves, their behavior however made it clear that I wasn't close to any of my maids before losing my memories. On that note, It appears I was on a hunt and got hit by someone's arrow, made me lose my balance and then falling in a lake and eventually drowning.

"It also seems that her highness, the crown princess is also about to arrive." Roy added in his report. Shouldn't this be a butler's job? Suddenly something shifted in my bed. I was startled, lifting my sheets a little, I saw a black ball. It moved, it came closer to me. Ball? Moved on its own? Then from my end of sheet it came out in light. Oh it was a dog. It was a Pyrenees mountain dog. Why do I know this? 

My head started hurting really bad, images flashed in my mind. Images of a boy laying in the middle of a road, blood stained his clothes. People gathering around him. Some recording with their communication devices, he recalled they called it a 'Mobile phone'.

I patted the creature as it rubbed itself on my chest, barking excitedly. I slowly slipped off my sheets and slid from my bed as I made a bee line for the body mirror. I examined my features. Tall, brown hairs that were in a casual manner as a few loose strands also fall before my eyes, sharp eyes that were the shade of wine, I wasn't as buffed as Roy, but still I had a muscular body which complimented my natural tan-ish skin complexion. I was attractive, to say the least. However, this appearance was so unfamiliar. It didn't looked like me.
