Chapter three "quiet"

I woke up to the sound of Hanna and Barbra arguing, as usual I wonder what they're arguing about this time.
I sit up from my bed as they turn to me and gasp.

"Oh my god, Diana! Barbara is so sorry!!"
Said Hanna.

" I'm sorry?!" Replied Barbara.
"You're the one who woke her up!!"

"No I didn't!!"

"Yes you DID!!"

Barbara ran to Hanna and started to slap her and she slapped back.
They're so immature, i thought to myself.

"I'm just gonna go get dressed"
I said as I walked away.

"Okay Diana!!" Yelled Hanna and Barbara at the same time as they continued to fight.

I get dressed into my uniform, and leave those two to settle their problem.
I walk down the hall and I see akko slowly walking past me. Her face filled with sorrow as she looked down at the ground.

"Whats the matter, Akko?" I say as I catch up to her.
She stops and turns to me.

"nothings wrong" she smiles weakly.

She's hiding something, I thought.

"There has to be something wrong, you're not usually this quiet" I say, still concerned.

"Oh, I didn't notice that I was being so quiet. Sorry for worrying you" she said.

She's not usually like this, there's something she's not telling me, but I don't know what. I should just leave her be, I'll ask her about it later.

"It's fine, I'm just glad you're okay" I say.

She does a weak smile and walks off to class. I wonder what's wrong with her.

As I saw the sun go down, I knew it was time to go the place I always go. but I should bring a blanket or something it's really cold outside, it's winter after all, It might even snow. I walked into my room and grabbed my sweater, and romance novel and fly up to the top on my broom, once again. I see Akko siting there, Hands on her face as she was trembling, in despair.

"Akko!" I say as I fly as fast as I can over there.
She turned to me, tears rolling down her cheeks. I drift to the ground then kneel down next to her.

"Akko, what's wrong?" I say, clearly concerned.
She wipes her eyes and gives me a fake smile.

"N-nothing" she says as her voice breaks.

I put my hand on her face and turn her to face me. Her face..so cold... I thought to myself.

"How long have you been out here? You're freezing!" I say as I take my sweater off.
"Here, put it on" I hand my sweater to her.
She pushes it away.

"I don't need it" she says, trying her best to sound reassuring.

"I'm not asking you, I'm telling you. I say sternly.

"F-fine" she takes the sweater and puts it on.

A cold breeze hits me, I shiver.

"Are you sure you don't need it?" She questioned.

"I'll be fine, now, tell me what happened"

"Okay.." she looks at the ground.
"I just embarrassed myself today, that's all.." her eyes started to swell up again.

I grab her hand.

"Tell me what happened, Akko. I glare at her crimson eyes.

"F-fine!!" She yells.
"I got embarrassed, cause I actually thought I could ask you out!!" Her tears rolling down her cheeks, dripping onto the concrete.

"A-Akko" I stutter, surprised of what she had said.

"I know... she wipes her eyes.
I'm so stupid to actually think tha-"

"I would love to go out with you" I interrupted.

"R-really?" she says, smiling her true smile.

"Of course" I smile.

She hugs me tightly.

"You're not doing this out of pity, are you?" She gave a serious stare.
I giggle.

"I promise, I'm not doing this out of pity"

"Then why are you doing this?" She question curiously.

"Cause...I.." my face reddens and I look down at the ground.

"Cause..I..like..you.." my heart starts beating likes it going to come out.

Well It kinda did come out. ;)

Akkos face flushed with red.

"I..like you too.." she said nervous but her voice still had a hint of joy in it.

I was gazing at those beautiful rose red eyes until.

"W-well I should get going" she stood up.
"Do you want you sweater back?"

"U-uh n-no, I'll be fine" I go up to her and peck her on the cheek.
"Sweet dreams, Akko" I get on my broom and fly to my dorm.

I arrive at my dorm. Hanna and Barbara awake looking out the window their eyes filled with fury and betrayal.

Oh no... I thought to myself.
