TRUTH BEHIND

 opinionated essay... no offense.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once upon a time in a place called Enchanted Land, there lived a princess who’s always locked in a tower by her wicked stepmother who is actually a witch, as usual, there came a charming prince who ca me to the rescue for the girl and decided to marry her…

The End.

Okay, let’s settle this first… first of all, I’m not going to write a story with a wonderful princess who was rescued by a courageous charming prince, which is so, totally clichéd. But, if you’re looking for a boring story like that, then read something else, find a romance book instead.

“There are no real happy endings.”

The rest of you seems to believe in happy endings, heroes, fantasies, unrealistic horror stories, fairytales, clichéd or so predictable love stories, tearjerker stories and all, ugh, can’t you all be boring with those type of stories???

I mean, why everyone reads common novels or stories over and over again with always a simple common ending, a happy ending. C’mon! Face the reality guys, where’s the truth in there, sticking unreliable, unbelievable and unrealistic dreams for many people around the world. No offense other writers who can relate to this. Alright, I get the logic for writing a story or novel, it’s freedom, and no one’s going to change but, hello, please think of not only for the amusement and self-gratification you can for writing it, please also think for everyone else who will read it. As they say, we’re not moving and living just for ourselves, everything you do, whether small or big, unproductive or not affects lives of people around you and continuing like a chain reaction for everyone. It’s viral you know.

I know some is for inspirational purpose, wanting to inspire others and giving hope to those in despair, got that really, but again, it is alright to think for the readers, but most importantly, always think of being yourself. If you get what I mean, then you’re great. People tend to write their dreams and what they want to be in a form of novel just to satisfy themselves. I’ll say, a good writer do not get influenced by the pressure of other people. It is highly important to them what’s really inside their heart and mind than care what others think about their works, perfect example are Nicholas Sparks and Philippines’ very own, Bob Ong. They wrote stories beyond imagination yet realistic. They are authors worth praising for and had novels worth reading for that gives not entertainment and leisure killing time, but also facts that may help you for the living.

Well, the real point is I may seem to conclude that the statement “There are no real happy endings” is true. Reality hurts, it can break you to the point you want to create much more unrealistic, imaginative and predictable own life story to please yourself and others around you. Whether you like it or not struggles, obstacles and problems do want to involve you all the time and you don’t need happy ending stories to keep you inspired and survived. Being yourself striving to live and not to only survive is the key.

So, be more realistic and seek for the truth behind every ending.
