I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember feeling the soft rain drops patter against my skin. I remember the sound of thunder echoing loudly. I remember the band of the gun shot. I remember screaming at the top of my lungs for help and I remember no one coming. I remember holding him in my arms and the smell of his fresh blood filling up my nostrils. I remember staring at his calm face and I remember him saying that it would be okay. But I also remember the fear in Louis' eyes that told me it wouldn't. It wouldn't be okay.

"C'mon babe! We'll be late!" Louis whined, bouncing in front of our door. I sighed loudly, walking out of the bathroom and giving my hair one final toss, pushing the messy curls away from my eyes.
"Alright, alright!" I cheered, stepping in front of him.
"Harry, love," he stated, biting his lip to keep himself from smiling.
"What?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"Your fly is open," Louis said, cheekily eyeing my zipped. I quickly pulled the stubborn metal up to its proper position, feeling the blood rush up to my cheeks. Louis smirked and stepped closer to me, rising on his tip toes and pecking at my lips. I grinned he wrapped his arms around my torso, smiling up at me.
"I love you, Hazza." he said happily.
"I love you too, my cheeky little nutter." I teased. Louis gasped in pretend offense and slapped my chest playfully.
"How rude!" he joked. I laughed and he winked at me once before pressing his lips against mine. Before I could return the kiss, Louis broke away and ran out the front door, laughing hysterically.
"C'mon then!" he shouted as he skipped into the darkness. I smirked and shook my head and I ran after my Peter Pan.

Louis and I walked hand in hand down the dark street towards Niall's flat. Lou couldn't close his mouth. He had been going on and on about how he really wanted Zayn and Liam to propose to their girlfriends at the same time so they could have a double wedding and then have their kids at the same time so they would end up falling in love. The fact that he was so passionate about everything just made me love him more.
I studied his face as he went on a tangent, a smile creeping up on my lips. Louis noticed how I was watching and he blushed furiously, closing his mouth and smiling at the ground. Suddenly, his brow furrowed and he peeked over his shoulder, only to turn back around and squeeze my hand tighter, pulling me ahead.
"What's the matter?" I questioned.
"I feel like that bloke is following us..." he whispered. I laughed and brought his hand to my lips, kissing it softly.
"Relax, babe, we'll be okay." I assured.
"Harry, I'm serious. Something doesn't feel right." he murmured, real fear now audible in his voice. The moment he said it, a loud bang echoed through my ears. I winced as Louis lurched forward. Time seemed to slow down as I watched him fall to his knees, his hand slipping out mine. My eyes grew wide in shock and disbelief. Louis fell forward, landing on his stomach, crying out in pain. I turned, only to see the shooter running off into the dark shadows. I quickly bent down beside Lou, my hands trembling and shaking as I turned him over, thunder clapping and rain beginning to pour.
"Harry--" Louis moaned, breaking my trance. I quickly lifted his head into my lap, taking his hand and kissing it softly.
"HELP! SOMEONE, PLEASE! HELP US!" I cried. I stared down at Louis, whose lips were now blue and trembling.
"It'll be okay, babe, I promise. I'll be...fine..." he murmured, his voice cracking as he stared up at my face. I watched as the rain washed some of his blood away and onto the pavement. It trickled down the curb and towards the sewers. The salty, iron smell of his fresh blood filled my nose and I could almost taste it, making my stomach churn.
