Love Between The Lines

We run in the house with the pomeranians in our arms and we take them upstairs. Then we go to the dining room where Adonis and Gem are. They weren't really barking or growling at anything but when they saw us, they ran to us with their tails tucked.

"What did y'all do to them?" We start asking.

"We gave them some fruit." Lafy says all sweet and innocent.

"What kind....?" We ask real slow because sometimes he act special.

"You know them grapes that was on Moms tree." He says and he shows them to me.

"First of all, GRAPES ARE POISONOUS TO DOGS. Second of all, THAT'S what they are? Yooo, I was really lost about that." I tell him.

He hands me the bowl and I eat one, "This is actually good." And I just eat the rest of them, of course bestfriend greedy ass came over and stole one of them.

"Poor babies, they fed y'all grapes? Y'all go grab the stuff and I'll forget about this." I tell them and they go to grab the bags, so we take Mar and the dogs upstairs with us. Adonis starts growling again and barking, and dad runs upstairs with Carina behind him.

"What the fuck going on?" Dad yells before seeing Adonis and Gem shaking and foaming and bleeding.

"I don't know, but this can't be the grapes." I tell dad.

"Ain't no grapes in this damn house. You eat all the damn fruit the day we get it." Dad says and I shake my head.

"Lafy said Carina's plant has grapes on it." Tiara says and I speak up too,

"Yeah and they tasted good but not like any grapes I ever ate. And they fed that to Adonis and Gem." I tell dad.

Adonis starts to whine and Gem follows soon after and they get louder and louder but their bodies start to retract certain parts and push out others. We stare at them, confused, and Lafy and Zavion comes upstairs holding bags.

"What's going on?" Lafy yells over the loud whining and Zavion runs over to Mar and holds him.

"We don't know dumbass. WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU FEED OUR DOGS?!!" I scream but dad ignores it this one time.

"Aren't those things grapes?" Lafy asks and I shake my head,

"You don't even know what you gave them?" I yell getting frustrated.

"I mean, we thought they were grapes and y'all came and ate them before we could even try them." Lafy says coming close to me.

I hug my stupid ass little brother but I'm gonna have to straighten this out after this whole situation. But for right now, I know he's terrified and I don't like it.

"Go in my room and take Zavion and Mar with you. I have my new dogs in there so don't do anything to them." I tell him before pushing him towards Zavion and Mar.

Me and dad keep looking at eachother and he tells Carina she should probably go with Graylin, her cat, in the room with the boys and she does but not before grabbing her big ass knife that can cut through bone.

Me, dad, and Tiara all look at eachother, and suddenly the whining stops and it's just crying. We all look over at the dogs but they weren't there. Or they were, just as babies. Dad looked at me so stupid and me and Tiara ran to pick up our kids.

"Don't be touching them. You don't know what's going on." Dad says and Carina shouts,

"Yeah," all the way from my room.

"Dad, there our babies still, before they hurt anybody they'll be scared of us. And plus, look, they're shaking. And it's never right to just leave babies like this." I tell him and dad nods his head.
