She never liked wearing dresses.

Her mother had told her when she was younger that ladies should wear dresses, because they would want to show their elegance to other people.

"But why not wear shorts and shirt, Mama?" She asked innocently.

Her mother just chuckled and ruffled her silky black hair. She pouted at her response.

Now, after 7 years, she never would have thought she'd prefer to wear this piece of clothing.

"For Hans." she mumbled.

"For Hans."

She had to search frantically for the perfect garment, throwing every clothing that doesn't suit her on the bed. She rummaged through her mother's closet, eyeing carefully what might be the perfect dress for her.

Aha! There it is!

She pulled out a navy knee-long one piece dress, with lace that adorned the neck-line. She had seen her wear this dress only for special occasions, and considered this day to be one.

"I'll borrow this one, okay Mom?" She smiled at her mother's portrait in the master's bedroom.

Ahh, it's been so long.

She fumbled the skirt of the dress when she stared at the mirror. She looks just like you, they said, and right now, as she stared in front of the mirror, it is as if her mother's looking at her.

Just like Mom.

Her cellphone rang, making ber jump in shock. She quickly reached out and grabbed it from the dresser, and received a message from someone.

Meet me by the bay, where we usually stare at the sunset.

Claire. That's what she was named. Luminous, dazzling. Bright.

Mom must have liked sunsets too.
