Chapter 19: Love Master

A/N: So we have a new character this chapter! I'm really excited for her because Spencer needs some girlfraaands... 😳

Spencer's POV-

I sit with my legs crossed on the floor with Johnny, teaching him a new card game.

"Yeah so you just take one if you don't have that number or that shape," I explain.

"What's this called again?" Johnny asks.

"Crazy eights," I say.

"Is that all you're gonna do?!" Pony comes in, kicking our cards around.

"Hey! Pony! Quit it!" I yell.

"Come on you two! You're in a relationship! Where's the romance?" Pony says, waving around his hands like an Italian.

"We just like spending time together," Johnny says, grabbing my hand and giving it a squeeze.

"Yeah, we'll get there Pony," I say.

"I don't believe you!" Pony says.

"Uhh..." Johnny and I both mumble.

"You need help from the 'looooove doctor!' I'll be happy to help," Pony says.

"You're single..." I say.

"Shuddup!" Pony yells.

"So what are you going to do?" Johnny asks.

"I have to be your date-mentor!" Pony decides.

"My what?!" I ask.

"It's the only way you're going to live!" Pony says dramatically.

"Uhh.. I think Spence and I can figure out a way to date each other.." Johnny says with a light laugh.

"Well sure, if you're lookin' to break up! You haven't even asked her out on a date!" Pony says.

"We like to stay in and play cards, you know that," I say.

"I know, I know," Pony says, "Boring old married couple..." he mumbles.

"Oh, okay" I say, "So what do you want to do, 'date mentor' Pony?"

"Take you out on a date!" he says.

"Both of us..?" I ask.

"No, just you!" he replies

"Waaaait.. No!!!" Johnny says.

"Don't worry man, I ain't tryna steal your girl. I just wanna teach her how to act on a date and blah blah blah. I'll take ya out on one too!" Pony says with a wink.

"Ooookaaaay.." Johnny says, completely weirded out.

"So when do you suppose we go out on this educational date?" I ask, laughing a bit.

"Now!" Pony says, grabbing my hand and running out the door with me.

"Don't worry," he yells to Johnny, "I don't like her like that anyway!" 

"Wait, where 'ya goin?" Dally asks comin' into the room, not having overheard our conversation.

"Pony's takin' me on a date," I say, laughing.

"Am not! I'm takin' her out so she and Johnny can go on a date," Pony says.

"Right," Dally says, "Well I'm headin' to The Nightly Double with Tim Shepard. He just had a birthday too, so we outta celebrate."

"Be safe," I say. 

Pony nods, "Tim can be..." he trails off.

"I know, I know, I'll be careful but I can handle my own. Besides, we're cool. He ain't gonna do nothin, we just gonna have a 'lil bit of fun," Dally says.
