Description: A girl named Cassie Sutton-blonde hair, blue eye. She meets a Duke Barton, a vampire, during the rough times of her life. She falls herself into a struggle trying to help him. Trying to solve the problem, she finds that she had already...
The next day in the morning, Duke went to the woods to quench his thirst. Unlike yesterday, he was cautious with each step. He didn't want to expose himself to some mysterious teenage girl sitting under a tree. Once he was done with his blood lust, the bulged veins beneath his eye relaxed, the bloodshot eyes became normal, his elongated sharp fangs shortened, and finally returned to his human nature. He walked through the woods and enjoyed the sun rays hitting his skin, which was more than enough to turn him into ashes in the absence of that locket he wore.
After some time, he heard an awkward sound. Duke followed it. He finds a blonde hair girl sitting under a tree.

"Cassie Sutton," Duke whispered.
Cassie was trying to mimic the squeak of squirrels. She took a small piece of cookie, crumbled it on her hands, and kept it on the ground. She waited for the squirrels to appear but none came. A fraction of disappointment was vivid on her face. Duke knew that this disappointment was caused by him. He didn't feel any regret or guilt because he knew he had to survive. At least he didn't choose the wrong way for his survival like others.
Cassie took her art book and placed it on her lap.
"I feel like I want to draw something but I've no idea what to draw," Cassie said, covering her face with both her arms.
Taking a deep breath and tapping the pencil on her book, her gaze shifted somewhere towards her right-side.
"Maybe I know what to draw," Cassie said, opening the book.
She lightly pulled the loose strand of hair over her left shoulder and tugged it behind her left ear. Her eyes dart towards her left and took a glance over her shoulder. Duke quickly turns and hides from her view.
After a few seconds, he peeps again. She starts drawing. He tries to figure out what she was drawing. With each stroke she drew, his excitement grew. Finally, he understood that she was drawing herself. She drew a girl sitting under a tree, busy drawing. The next few strokes she drew, made him terror struck. She drew a boy peeping from behind the tree.
"No way." the words slipped out of Duke's mouth a bit louder than he thought.
Hearing this Cassie quickly glanced over her shoulder. Duke immediately hides, but this time he was sure she might've seen him. He thought of running with his vampire speed. But there was one thing. He didn't want to expose himself or wanted to become suspicious. Therefore, if he chooses to run then he has to make sure that she has not seen him. Duke peeps once more. The bag, the tin-containing cookies, and the book were all that he could find. Seeing this he gulps some air.
" Where did she go?" Duke thought.
