Chenoa's POV
To say I was your stereotypical high school girl was a lie...
A big one.
I was never into things like trending fashions but I was fashionable, not into the whole mean, preppy thing but was popular and sarcastic but most of all I was never into the whole romantic relationship ordeal.
NEVER.
I was considered the "fun one" in my group of friends even though we were all hilarious at times. We were comprised of the outcasts, the dorks, the "uugh, those dweebs are sooo lame" people. We, on the other hand, thought of ourselves as... Misfits. Rebels. A group that refused to conform and I loved it. It was who I was. I was never one to go with the flow, I stood out and that's what drew me to the weirdos I call friends. They never cared about fitting in with the terrible norm.
"Hey Dove, I've missed you soo much!" Screams one of my best friends, Johari, as she sees me sitting on a bench outside of the school building.
"Jo, oh my word, I've missed you too and as always you look incredible, the epiphany of class my dear." I say as I bow infront of her while holding her right hand and flicking my coat with my free hand. She starts laughing and curtseys in return. I chuckle as I get up and I see my other two friends, James and Ramin.
"Hey Jimi, hi Rami."
"Hey. How are you guys?" Jimi inquires, him and Ramin stopping infront of Johari and myself.
"Yeah, sweethearts, how was your weekends?" Ramin's sencerity making me blush slightly. Such a lovable boy.
"I had a blast, my parents took me to watch the Danish String Quartet, they performed Beethoven's 16 quartets at Alice Tully Hall, it was one of the most spectacular events in my life. I closed my eyes and I felt as if I was in another universe. I loved it." Johari's facial expressions matched the dreamy look in her eyes.
"I'm glad that you enjoyed it, Hari, it sounds cool. Beethoven wrote some pretty good pieces."James drinking in Johari's look on her face, his cheeks tinging at the sight.
Ramin and I look at the two dazed people next to us and then back at each other, exchanging looks.
"Soooo, Rami, how was your time?" I dragged, avoiding the weirdness.
"It was good, darling. I was helping my parents with some work and practice so I enjoyed it."
"I can't wait to see them in action, I love watching them everytime. I want to see you up there soon, okay?" Johari squels out, coming out of her state.
"Thanks, Love. I'll make sure to let my people know."
"Friends, I saw a new guy today. He was such a cute little button." Johari blurts out."He wanted to know where Mrs. Fitchett's office was so I went with him and when we got there, he said 'Thank you' and kissed my hand. What a gentleman." Johari confessed, swooning at the thought.
"He sounds like the kind of person we all need, what's his name?" Ramin questioned, the cogs in his head starting to turn.
"I saw 'Muse Canham' written on the book he was holding, that's such a cool name."
"Finally, a pleasant guy in this school. I was beginning to think that we would never find one." I smirk and nudge Johari's arm.
"Hey/Hey!" James and Ramin say in unison.
"Come on Jo, let's go and find that amazing sounding man." I link arms with her as we walk of.
"I can't wait."Johari giggled out.
HEY PEOPLE, I HOPE THIS FINDS YOU WELL AND Y'ALL ENJOY IT. LOVE
