"You like Spot, don't you?" Ace suddenly said. We were sitting on the roof of my house taking in the cool night air.
"What? No!" I shook my head.
"Don't pretend, C. I can tell." he pushed.
"No. No. I mean, I did like him. But then I met you." I smiled.Ace laughed a bit. "Really?" I nodded. "I'm not that special." He shrugged.
I laughed, "That's exactly what I say all the time. But I feel special with you." Ace shifted his gaze from the stars to me.
"I'm glad I make you feel that way." he smiled. The moon cast a pale yellow glow on his face, highlighting his wide smile and sparkling eyes. I wanted to freeze time and remember this moment forever. We stared at each other for a bit before he scooted a bit closer. And then he kissed me.

The whole table stopped. "He did WHAT!?" Shiner squealed."You're kidding." Jack dropped his fork. The booth erupted into questions and interrogations.
"Well what happened here?" Ace laughed from beside me.
"Can we talk?" Albert asked Ace as he and Race stood up.
"Oh my God." I buried my head in my hands as the two walked off with Ace.
"So he kissed you." Jack verified.
"Yes." I confirmed."Did you kiss back?" He inquired.
"Yes." I responded again. Jack just sighed, still processing the information.
"Awwww our little C's first kiss!" Romeo gushed. I rolled my eyes. Race, Albert, and Ace came back to the table. Ace seemed ultimately un-phased by whatever the two said.
"Sorry but your friends are..." He paused. "Wack." I finished for him. He laughed.
"So I've been told." I joked back.
"Spot wanted me to ask you something." He said. I looked back up at him."He was wondering if you could tutor him. After school in Thursdays for a few hours or whatever." I could tell Ace wasn't fond of the idea.
"Sure I can do that! But why didn't he ask me himself?" I questioned.
"Spot doesn't like asking for help. He's stubborn like that." Ace clarified. "Well I gotta go. We have practice today."
"On a Sunday?" I questioned."Yeah." He gave me a quick kiss on the cheek before waving to the guys and heading out the door.
"Practice. On a Sunday." Jack repeated. "Nope. I don't like it."
"Shut up Kelly, you don't like anything!" Race flicked him on the head.
"That's not true!" Jack defended.
"Oh my God. Just shut up!" Shiner grumbled.
"What did it feel like?" Romeo sighed. I cocked an eyebrow."Like, a kiss?" I answered, totally unsure of an answer.
He rolled his eyes. "No. What did it feel like?" This time the question was accompanied with a vague hand gesture.
"What do you want me to say?" I exclaimed, throwing my hands up in the air.
"Oh my God Rome! Grow up!" Specs threw a fry at him."Um C?" Shiner interrupted.
"Yeah Shine?" I responded, curiously.
"If there's practice today, why is Spot here?" Shiner pointed out."I TOLD YOU SO!" Jack jumped up. Crutchie hurriedly shushed him. "I told you." He repeated a lot quieter.
"Maybe he hurt himself and they wanted him to stay home." I suggested.
"Then he would be home." Davey pointed out.
"You guys are being too overprotective! I can do just fine on my own. You're never like this with anyone else but me!" I shouted, a bit perturbed by their skepticism.
"C, we just wanna make sure you're safe." Specs said.
