PIPER-
"Leo?" Piper gazed up at halfblood hill, on it stood a figure, a scrawny silhouette. She gently walked towards the figure, as it became clearer she noticed the chocolate curls, the shirt and braces covered in oil grease. There he was. Her best friend. Her brother. Her Leo Valdez. She ran towards him and grabbed his hands.
"Leo…" She breathed. Feeling the warmth of him course through her body, not cold like a dead person. He was alive and very much. A tear escaped her eye. She stared at his face. A wicked grin spread across his cheeks.
"Hello, beauty queen." Piper clung onto him and buried her face into his shoulder. She closed her eyes.
She opened them again and she was in her cabin. The dim light from the window lightly lit the room. She sighed heavily and wiped the tears from her eyes. Piper swung herself out the bed and headed for the bathroom. She stared in the mirror at her reflection, trying to flatten down her crazy cat lady hair. She fished a golden drachma out of her pyjama pocket and ran the water from the tap. A rainbow appeared by the window.
"O' Iris, goddess of the rainbow please accept my offering. Jason Grace, Camp half blood." The rainbow shivered and glossy, marble walls came into view. In one corner was a blonde boy curled up in his covers.
"Jason." She raised her voice slightly. Jason stirred and turned over, his eyes slowly opened and he noticed the Iris message.
"Piper? Are you alright?" He grabbed his cute golden glasses and blinked, adjusting to the light.
"Nice bed hair." Piper greeted. Jason smiled sleepily.
"Having dreams again?"
Piper nodded, she sighed and put a hand on her chin, resting on the windowsill.
"Demi-god dreams are different though aren't they? They're usually true visions."
"Piper, I'm sorry but Hazel and Nico said they felt his death…" Jason answered apologetically. Piper remained silent. "Look do you want to come to my cabin?"
"No, no it's okay...I'm just going to go back to sleep."
"Love you Pipes."
"Love you too Sparky." Piper managed a smirk, Jason returned the gesture. Piper swiped a hand through the air and the message dispersed. The room became as depressing as before. She walked back to her bunk and flung herself on the bed and attempted to sleep again.
FRANK-
"Hazel, what are you doing?" Frank shouted as he ran through across the fields. It was around noon and Camp Jupiter was mid-way through their weekly war games as the sun settled on the horizon making New Rome seem peaceful. Frank paused and looked back. "Hazel we're going to lose, come on!" Hazel stood still staring at the horizon.
"Frank look!" She shouted cheerfully. "It's Leo, he's alive!" She sprinted off in the opposite direction. Frank hesitated but ran after her. He quickly caught up to her and wasn’t even out of breath for once, thanks to his father. He watched Hazel, her expression contorted in confusion. Frank watched as Hazel fitted all the pieces together whilst he was rubbing her shoulders in what he could only hope was a soothing gesture.
"I...I could have sworn I saw him…" Hazel's voice was barely a whisper.
"Hazel...maybe you're just seeing his spirit..." Frank suggested carefully.
"No...That’s Nico's power."
"He's dead Hazel, you felt it yourself." Frank choked back a sob. He turned Hazel around and buried her in his burly arms, laying his cheek on the top of her head.
"But it felt…different." She spoke into his chest. They stayed in their own oblivious embrace for a few moments until Dakota shouted to them.
"Hey, you two! Cuddle on your own time, we're falling behind!" He beckoned them. They broke away, and Frank brushed his finger across her cheek, wiping her tears. He grabbed her hand and they ran towards Dakota.
PERCY-
"Percy I'm so happy you came home." Sally Jackson sat down next to her new husband Paul Blofis, he placed a hand in hers, and smiled sincerely at Percy. Percy sat across leaning on Annabeth. He kept having to subtly wipe his eyes because random tears kept escaping. It had been so long since he saw his mother, and he only had time to Iris message her once since the world was saved. He briefly described what had happened and when he turned up at the door, his mother had clung onto him crying for a good 5 minutes in the doorway as Annabeth awkwardly shifted around them and gave Paul a hug like old friends, which he supposed they were. Now they had all settled down with some tea and were sat on the couch catching up on what the other had missed.
"My son, saving the entire world." She beamed at him.
"Yeah after allowing Mother Earth to rise in the first place." Annabeth mocked.
"Hey, your blood was spilt as well, not so wise for a Wise Girl, was it? Your mother wouldn't approve." He retaliated. She playfully elbowed him and they stared at each other. A look of shared pain, and endless drift of sadness passed between them in just one glance.
"So Percy, you all made it out safe?" Paul asked. Percy and Annabeth glanced at each other again, as something in both their hearts shattered.
"Uh…" Annabeth tried, her voice strained. "Actually...Leo…" She choked. Paul's smile wavered.
"I'm sorry…" expressed Sally and Paul, their voices quiet. Percy took a deep breath and straightened his back.
"He died a hero, he killed Gaia, and he was the saviour in the end." He tried for a smile, Annabeth started to sob quietly beside him and leant into his shoulder. Sally and Paul got up and sat either side of them. Sally rubbed Percy's arm while he leant his head into her shoulder, he pulled both Annabeth and Paul into an embrace and there they sat just sharing each other’s grief.
LEO-
"Alright babe, now just remember, everyone thinks I'm dead so a lot of ladies are gonna be swarming me and my good looks. But don't worry, my heart only belongs to you." Leo shouted over the whistle of the winds in his ears.
"Shut up." Calypso replied with a smile in her voice. They soared on Festus over the rich land; Leo wondered how something so lovely to look at was the essence of something so ugly. He stared down at the entrance of Camp Jupiter, he added seeing Hazel and Frank to his to do list, but first he had to go home.
