Aurora flew quickly, her talons shaking as she clutched the spear tightly. She held it close to her chest, and could feel it moving slightly with the strong, fast pounding of her heart. Calm down, Aurora, it can't be that bad. You've got your claws and teeth and frostbreath, and even your very own spear.

Aurora glanced towards her sister, who had a confident look plastered onto her face. How can she be so confident? We're about to fight for our lives! We could die! As they flew farther, Aurora could see red, dark pink, and red-brown blobs fighting with ice-blue, white, and sky-blue-and-white blobs.

"You ready?" Slick asked, touching his wing-tip to Aurora's wing-tip.

Aurora nodded, trembling. The three dragons dove down, racing quicker to their SkyWing targets. One IceWing looked up, relief washing over his eyes.

Aurora flailed her wings, her talons trembling as she dove faster towards a SkyWing that had an IceWing in its grasp. She thrust the spear forward, wincing at the sound of weak skin tearing when the spear went right through the wing.

The SkyWing roared with pain, then turned, his jaws snapping towards Aurora. His eyes were wide and clouded with agony. As Aurora pulled the spear out of his wing, he roared with pain once more, then flapped his wings strongly like a bat flying in rain. The gash in his wing denied him to fly, and he opened his jaws to let out a fear full hiss as he plummeted to the water.

Aurora glanced down, clutching the blood-stained spear. She winced as his body hit the water with a thud. His head went under, which was soon follow by his flailing wings. Then lastly his outstretched talons disappeared under the icy waves of the cold water.

Suddenly talons dragged down Aurora's leg. She hissed with pain and slammed her thin tail into the SkyWing's face. The red dragon let out a shriek of pain, his jaws opening to reveal a bleeding mouth. He rushed forward, his jaws clamping down on Aurora's talons.

Suddenly, the SkyWing shrieked and pulled away, his tongue covered in a thick frost. Some of his teeth glittered unnaturally like ice.

Aurora then rushed forward, drawing gashes in the SkyWing's snout as she raked her claws across it. Blood trickled down his face, and his eyes narrowed.

"What's wrong with your scales?" The SkyWing hissed in rage. "Stupid hybrid," he growled, his talons stretching forward to grab her spear.

Aurora shrieked as her spear slipped from her talons. Before she could even take it back, a jet of fire blasted her face. She backed away, her wings flailing as the hotness scorched the top of her head. Her scales burned and sizzled. Suddenly, something sharp pierced her arm, and she felt her scales and flesh tear as the sharp point was thrust deeper.

Aurora screamed with agony, her heart pounding. She stared at her arm, seeing dark blue blood trickling from her arm. The spear was thrust deep, but hadn't gone all the way through. Ice had stretched from her scales and had crawled upon the wood of the spear, freezing it so that it stuck to her arm.

"What in the name of the moons-" The SkyWing was cut off with a choking sound as  spear suddenly appeared right through his throat. Blood spattered on Aurora's face and she gasped as the SkyWing gurgled blood. Then he fell, his body hitting the water, which turned red.

"Learn how to fight, three moons," a voice hissed. Plum suddenly appeared in front of her, and her sister, without warning, grabbed the spear in her arm and pulled it out quickly.

Aurora shrieked with pain as dark blue blood spurted from the deep gash in her arm. The blood trickled down her arm as fast as a snake, then dripped down into the ocean below. Her white scales were stained dark blue. "Ow, why did you do that?" She growled.
