Some people say "zindagi gulzar hai" (life is a rose garden) . It might be for them but for Mahibah, life is anything but easy especially since she is a muslim girl. Her parents are neither too liberal nor too religious, a little bit in between but Mahibah is a very religious girl.Mahibah would never trade her deen for any gem in the world, she is content with her modest life but is a strong girl. Her intelligence and maturity amazes everyone. She is only eighteen years old, an age where it's usually okay to make mistakes and enjoy life without any responsibilities but Mahibah doesn't take any interest in such enjoyments.
She finds peace in wearing a scarf and covering her body rather than feeling embarassed or oppressed. Mahibah wants a successful career and life but doing that while being faithful to her deen is certainly a difficult thing with the pressure to get married.
She is in love with Zameer, her cousin but he doesn't share the same feelings for her because of her conservative life and that affects her to no ends because she can't get him out of her mind. That certainly proved how life is not a rose garden for some people but full of ups and downs.
