Chapter 3

I woke up early got ready for the CPS office made my extra strong coffee and was out the door an on my way. After signing all the paper work to start the process as a potential adopter and having my background ran. they set up the appointment with a couple other people to run test one on my mental health and my family history. but it was all worth it after i left i decided to go to baby stores around town and see if i could figure out a theme from one of them. i kinda wanted to do a Winnie the pooh in the hundred acre woods theme but would have to see if any of the stores had the stuff i needed. i would have to call my dad and mom to come help paint the room to look like the hundred acre wood their both artsy people. they would be so happy to have another grandchild I knew she was gonna get so spoiled by them. An if this doesn't work out i will already be approved so i can always adopt another child. They definitely need more people who are willing to adopt i could always get siblings so that way the one bedroom wouldn't be much of a problem at least till their older then i could buy a three bedroom house so they could have their own rooms. After visiting a couple shops i realized they had just about everything that i needed with only a few things that i would have buy online to make it complete which to me was a success. i even found some really cute outfits that i quickly added up what size she should be around when hopefully i could take her home and then grabbed one of that size and one bigger than after explaining to the manager i was able to have them hold them for me that way in case it didn't work out they could just sell them. i know how quickly this store sells out on their baby clothes. I stopped at the local dinner for a quick lunch and then made my way home. i got to cleaning it out and removing some of the unnecessary furniture and then vacuuming and dusting. and making sure that everything was perfect and ready to be painted and decorated. i left the futon in case i did get the little girl that way if i needed to sleep in here i could as well. After that i started cleaning the whole house taking stock of everything i need to change or childproof like the sink cabinet and i need to get rid of the old coffee table in the living room, It had screws loose and a couple where poking through the wood. i would need a new one of those but because my house isnt very cluttered with stuff i like my house very simple and clean which is gonna be fun with a kid around. but i can learn to live with a little bit of mess right? yeah yeah i can its nothing its worth it for her. i decided to wait to tell my mom and dad till i knew if she would become adoptable or not and then ask them if they would help me with the room. oh goodness they are gonna be so happy i think im gonna do it a gift like how you see on those Facebook Videos of how people tell their parents their expecting a baby. ive always wanted to do that since i saw the first video. i have so many plans i can hardly wait but first i have to go to the store since tomorrow is my day off as well and get all the stuff for baby proofing and get a new coffee table as well. The excitement i feel keeps growing i cant believe im doing this one way or another im gonna be a mother . After i cooked dinner and showered got ready for bed and watched some tv i went to bed ready to get everything set tomorrow.
