It was the next day, Frank had been on edge since the moment he woke up; constantly checking news reports for murder headlines or other police related articles. He had woken up hours before Gerard, who was still sleeping calmly. The red head's arms were snaked tightly around the shorter boys waist and his face was buried in-between Frank's shoulder blades. His legs were intertwined with Frank's, pulling their bodies closely together as if trying to fuse with Frank; but in reality he just liked how safe he felt with the other boy. It was a pleasurable change compared to Bert. Despite being in the peaceful moment, all Frank could focus on was his own paranoid thoughts. He remembered back to when Mikey bit into his hand, drawing blood. Could the police figure out it was him that way?
What if they were on their way right now?
The sound of sirens startled Frank, making him shoot up in his bed. Gerard groaned next to him, not liking being woken up. "Damn ambulances," The red head cursed, his arms that were loosely wrapped around Frank's waist pulling away so he could sit up. He did not enjoy being woken up.
"How do you know it's an ambulance?" Frank asked.
"The siren is different than firetrucks and cops," Gerard told him, yawning and rubbing at his eyes. "I thought you knew this,".
"Haven't been in trouble enough to know, I guess," Frank said.
"It was heading toward my street..," Gerard frowned, peering through Frank's window; the curtains seemed to creep open during the night like they always did ever since Frank started playing the game.
"Yeah.., I'm sure it's nothing," Frank told Gerard worried that he'd catch on. Gerard felt his phone buzzing, eyes widening as he read the screen.
"Shit, I've got like twenty missed calls from my mom. I've gotta go home to see what's wrong with her," He told Frank.
"No!" Frank quickly said, startling Gerard.
"Shit, Frank. I'm only going to be gone for a little while," Gerard told him, getting up after pulling on his shoes, "I'll be back later," He smiled, leaning down to press his lips against Frank's sweetly, "Maybe we can fool around..," he smirked, holding Frank's chin.
"Y-yeah..," Frank said through a fake smile, fully knowing that Gerard wouldn't be in the mood once finding out what awaited him at home.
It only took fifteen minutes of Gerard being gone for Frank to receive a phone call from his distressed boyfriend. "H-he's dead!" He screamed through the phone, loud sobs following.
"W-what happened? Who?" Frank asked, pretending to be clueless.
"M-M-Mikey!" Gerard cried, the sound of him dropping his phone to the ground followed. Frank could hear Gerard screaming at nothing on the other end.
"I-I'm coming over," Frank told him, doubting Gerard could even hear him through his emotional mess. He hung up, pulling himself up by applying all his weight to his bedside dresser.
Eventually he arrived at the Way household, by now the ambulance was gone and all was left was Gerard who didn't want to go to the hospital with his parents.
Frank walked inside, just following the sound of Gerard crying until he found himself in Mikey's room where the older boy was. "H-hey," He mumbled, sitting on the edge of the bed next to Gerard. The moment just reminded him of Mikey last night, since Gerard laid in a similar position on the bed.
