Aurora is the co-captain of the Octonauts and the childhood friend/love interest of Captain Barnacles. Like her fellow captain, she is kind and caring, but firm and stern when necessary.

Aurora has pale blue, almost white, hair reaching her waist and side swept bangs that curl inward. As a polar bear, she enjoys the icy temperatures of the Arctic Circle where she and Barnacles grew up. Both of them are always dismissing Kwazii's outlandish ghost stories. Like Barnacles, she fancies an instrument, but she plays the guitar instead of the accordion. In her hair, she wears a snowflake hair clip and cross earrings.
Only Barnacles knows about her claustrophobia because he has it too.
