Now That You're Gone [Hiatus]

"tzuyu-ah. wake up." a voice said. i opened my eyes and saw mei staring down at me with a wide smile on her face. "what is it?" i said in a raspy voice.

"gucci just arrived home from your mom's house!" she exclaimed. i quickly got out of bed and ran to the door.

"gucci!" i shouted with glee. he barked and ran into my arms. "get ready tzuyu, we're going on a date!" mei told me.

"huh? where?" i asked her. she shrugged and told me "i'll be waiting in the car." i walk to my room and got changed.

i walked to the garage where i saw mei waiting. "ready to go?" she asked. i nodded and we both got into the car.

"wait! i forgot to tell you to bring gucci." mei said. i looked at her, confused. "okay...? i'll go get him." i got out of the car and got gucci from the living room.

i headed back to mei and she started driving.

"so where are we going?" i asked her. she smiled at me and held my hand. "you'll see." she simply stated. 

after a few minutes of silent driving with gucci barking at us every now and then, we finally reached our destination. 

we both got out of the car and i was carrying gucci in my arms. my eyes lit up as i saw where we were. "you drove us to a dog cafe???" i asked excitedly.

she smiled softly and wrapped her hand around my waist. she moitoned for us to go and we both entered the cafe with gucci.

"welcome!" the worker said. i smiled and bowed then sat down at one of the tables with mei. i put gucci down on the floor so he could run off and play with the other dogs.

"thanks for bringing me here." i said. she nodded "no problem!"

"good morning ladies! what would you like to order?" the waitress asked. "i would like a latte please." i told her.

"and i would like a cappuccino please!" mei continued. "great! your order will be out shortly." the waitress responded.

"if you don't mind me asking... how did your date with sana go?" mei asked. "you really want to know?" she nodded.

"she took me to the ranch. it was really nice to see the cows there. she then took me to a cafe called L'amour. we at delicious cupcakes there. she then took me to this place that I've never seen before. it was so calming. the surrounding and atmosphere was beautiful. after we spent some time there she dropped me home." i explained with a wide smile plastered on my face.

mei sighed and nodded. "sounds like fun. but i know you'll be having more fun with me!" she exclaimed confidently.

"here are your orders ladies! enjoy!" she said and placed our drinks on the table. we thanked her. i took a sip of my latte.

"how's your latte?" mei asked me. "it's scrumptious! how's your cappuccino?" i asked her. "it's delicious, i would come here everyday." 

"looks like gucci is having fun." mei pointed out. i looked over at him and he was running around while barking at other dogs.

"anyways, i think the place we are going to visit next will surprise you." mei started. "and where is that?" i asked her.

"once we're done with our drinks here we can go." 

i got really excited so i started drinking my latte faster while mei giggled at me. "what?" i asked her. "you're really that excited?"

"yup! if you say it's that good then i want to hurry and go." i answered her. she finished her cappuccino and motioned for us to leave.

we left our payment and a tip underneath our dishes, grabbed gucci and left. we drove just next door to an adoption center for animals.

"what are we doing here mei?" i asked her. "isn't it obvious? we're getting a puppy." she said in a casual tone. i was taken back.

"wait... what? what are we doing?"

"you heard me, we're getting a puppy!" she repeated. "really? oh my god i can't believe this! thank you so much!" 

"come on! i'm paying." she said.

i rushed out of the car and into the adoption center. "good morning ma'am!" a worker greeted. "hey! i want to adopt a puppy." i told him.

"of course! right this way, they're all playing outside." he said and led me to the dogs with mei and gucci following us.

"we have many breeds here at the rescue center. take a look!" i walked over and looked at all the puppies.

every single one of them greeted me happily but one dog attracted me the most. it was a small white pomeranian. she was utterly adorable. even gucci had taken interest in her.

"i would like this one please!" i said to the worker. "of course! let me have you sign some papers here and she can be yours." he said.

after signing some adoption papers, i got to take the puppy home. "so what are you gonna name her tzuyu-ah?" she asked. 

"sapphire. like the gem."

"it sounds adorable. now let's head home."

we arrived home and we let both gucci and sapphire get to know each other while mei and i relaxed in our bedroom.

"tzuyu-ah."

"yes mei?"

"i also have another surprise for you." she told me. i nodded and looked at her. she started undressing and i felt uncomfortable.

"wait mei... i'm not ready for this." i told her. she kept coming towards me. "mei stop." i said and pushed her away. "tzuyu-"

"no stop! i just told you i'm not ready for anything like this." i scolded her. i could see the regret written all over her face.

"sorry but i just want to take our relationship slowly and wait until marriage." i told her. "it's okay i totally understand. sorry for forcing myself onto you."

"it's alright. it's been a long day so let's get some rest." i said. she nodded and we both laid down in bed and went to sleep.

what the hell?! who was texting at 2:00 am in the morning. i grabbed my phone and squinted as the brightness burned my eyes.

when i could clearly see i saw a text from sana.
