The Beginning?

The chilling air could tell many stories in the small town of Tungsten, right on the edge of a bustling city called Orel. A golden hour at the end of the day hung over the busy town. Civilians flooded the side walks, teens wandered the streets for their drug dealers while small children ran back home after hours on the playground. Adults adjusting their watches as they waited for the cross walk lights to turn green. Though, the busy night was approaching, the lights in the eyes of a child were fading under their very noses. In one small flat, not to far from a crowded cross walk, laid the twitching body of a 6 foot tall man. The shag carpet under the boy turned from mud brown to a dark glittering crimson. The sprawled out boy looked to be nothing more than a Highschool kid. He had his hair dyed in baby blue and cotton candy pink. His brown eyes grew dark as they darted around wildly. Though from the way he was laying he didn't seem to be injured, his back had been sliced open. His spine, in the process had been brutally ripped apart.

The kid meant to raise his hand up to his leather jacket's collar to adjust it, but shock already grasped his body. He tried to sit up, but he couldn't. His teeth clamped down, he looked about ready to faint. He was nothing more then a victim of a drug cartel mafioso found out and couldn't let word hit the streets. A man of few words, a man that looked as if his life consisted of silver platers and cuts of fresh veal, walked away with a long crooked knife at hand. The kid was nothing more than a ex-partner to this man, would have trusted his family in the hands of this cunning prick. Now his new found information on the conniving scum will only be brought to the grave with him.

After a second glance the crime he had committed, he had left, leaving the kid to die on the shabby apartment floor. Only moments later did the highschooler's lungs begin to fill with blood. Thick rivers of maroon paste came pouring from his parted lips. His tense look relaxed as he realized his life would be ending here. Personally, I'd like to believe that his death was close to painless, but every breath felt like fire. As his punctured lungs filled quicker with blood, he looked out the window to the golden sun set. Eyes, begging for forgiveness and life. His chest collapsed as he took his last exhale. With the last of his strength, he thrusted his hand, opened palmed to the ceiling as if he had begged the afterlife to take mercy onto his fading soul. the sun had set on the highschooler's life. The light around him faded and his eyes had closed for the last time.

"Good Morning!" A squeaky voice scratched violently at my ears, like nails on a damn chalk board. My hands curled up into balled up fists as I forced my eyes open, gasping as if I had a brick laid on my chest.

"M-morning?" I looked around, gripping the chair under me. I squinted as the light shinned brightly from above was too much to bare. Soon though, my vision narrowed. Sitting in front of me was a clean dark wood desk, the back of a computer faced to the left, a small cup full of pencils, and a few askew papers laid across the desk. Sitting behind the desk was a woman, long straight white hair, red glistening eyes, pale skin, and blue lipstick. I could barely believe a woman so cute actually existed.

"Hello, mister..." She glanced down at some papers, "Dale Brisky!" Quickly, she stood and walked around the right of the desk. "My name is Kayla, I would like to personally welcome you to Koilosu High." She sat down in front of me, her legs crossed and her hands properly folded over her lap. The outfit she wore left nearly nothing to the imagination. The grey collared shirt looked close to busting from her breast size, the black skirt was so high, I could nearly see her under it. Kayla, being a bit closer now, I could see she had blue spider bite piercings. Though I nearly didn't care, looking at the rest of her I had no time to appreciate them.

Her hand waved across my face, "Hello? Dale?"

"Eh?" I shook my head, "Y-yes! I apologize, I just don't recognize this room?" I glanced around once more, taking in the grey walls and dark grey carpet. "What is this place? How did I get here?" In fact, I don't remember getting here, or where I was before this.

"That's good to hear Dale! Like I'd said before, welcome to Koilosu high! I understand you are new here and have not enrolled in any classes yet, so I've prepared some enrollment forms for you." Her arm lifted from her lap as she reached back to pick up some papers from her desk, "Here you are Dale." I reached forward and looked at the pages.

"Thank you, but I'm afraid we have a little mix up, I'm already enrolled into... into... uh, I'm already in a school. I don't intend to move to a different school." I sit the papers back down onto the table.

Kayla lifter her hand up to her mouth before giggling, "Oh, Dale, I'm afraid you don't get a choice!"

"Eh, what exactly do you mean by that?" I could feel myself tense up.

"Oh, Dale, you don't even realize yet?" Kayla slowly slipped off from the desk.

Realize? Realize wha-" Her fingers dragged across my lips, cutting me off.

"You don't even realize that you're dead."
