[Steve]

I dropped my sword as I saw the mysterious girl jump out of the window. Was she CRAZY? That jump might have made her break a bone. I rush down the stairs to get outside, at the same time putting on my shirt. I looked around until I saw her, crawling. I sprinted over her, seeing that she just gave out and just lied on the grass. Once I was close I stopped running and just started walking towards her. I examined her body, since I didn't really take some time to look at her before she escaped. She looked really exhausted from the crawling. Her leg was bleeding, staining her pants dark red.

She must have damaged it when she fell.

I flipped her over so that I could see the front of her in case anything else was hurt. I then stopped when I looked at hear face, silently gasping as I felt my heart race. She had beautiful green eyes, with orange hair going over them like bangs in just the most perfect way. She looks so beautiful. The first human I met. So beautiful under the sunlight. I could stare at her forever. But then I noticed that those green eyes of hers were starting to close. I panicked a bit

"D-don't worry. I'll fix you up right away" I said to her. I didn't think she heard me as her eyes fully closed. I picked her up in my arms, bridal style, and speed walked back to the house, closing the door behind me.

-----(Many Hours Later)-----

[Unknown]

My eyes slowly opened again, replacing the darkness with light again. I was staring at a wooden ceiling. Where am I? I sat up and looked around, noticing that I was back in that mans bedroom. He replaced the windows apparently, so it looked like nothing ran into that in the first place. On the other side of the window, I could see the sun, moving down into the earth, welcoming the darkness of the night.

I looked down at myself. One of my legs were wrapped up in white bandages. I reached out and touched the bandages. They were newly changed, so it looked like there was no blood on it.

He must have done that to me. It feels less painful now. I should thank him if i can.

As if on cue, the man opened the door and walked in. He had his shirt back on now, which disappointed me slightly. He notices that I'm awake.

"Good evening. I hoped you slept well." He said with a smile. His voice sounding young. Like around the late Teen age.

I didn't respond to him, I just looked at my bandaged leg. He noticed and walked closer.

"You're welcome by the way. You shouldn't jump out of windows next time. Don't want to get even more hurt"

I still didn't respond, or lifted my head up to look at him. The man frowned a little, and rubbed the back of his neck. There was just silence. It was getting kinda awkward with all of this silence. After what seemed like an eternity, he hesitantly asked a question.

"....Do you have a name?"

Now I looked up at him. I just stared at him, before lifting my shoulders up for a second.

"....You don't know your own name?"

I shook my head slightly, looking down again. I then realized that the piece of paper in my belt was still there. I slid it out gently, trying my best to not tear it. Once it was out, I just held it in my hands before unfolding it. It was still unreadable to me. I held it out to the man slowly.

"What's this?" He asked. I shrugged again, holding it out more. He walked closer, and took it out of my hand. I allowed it to slip out of my finger's grasp to let the other take it and read it.

[Steve]

I took the unnamed girls paper, opening it to reveal what was written. It was a name tag from what I see.

ALEX

It sounded just as simple as my own name. Alex. Thats a nice name. I wonder if its hers. It has to be, why else would she have it? Now that I think about it, WHY did she have it? I shove the thought to the back of my head.

"Your name is Alex?" I asked

She took full attention the moment I said that.

[Unknown/Alex?]

He read the paper. I think he understands what it says.

"Your name is Alex?" He asked, looking at me.

That name. Alex. It sounds familiar. Very familiar. When did I last hear that name? Have I been called that before I woke up in this place with no memory of what happened before? Was that my name? IS it my name? I stayed silent for a bit, but then I spoke for the first time.

"....I....I-I think?..." I managed to say. It felt so new, talking. But at the same time, I knew just how to speak words. My voice sounded funny to me at first. It was like it was the first time I heard myself in years.

[Steve]

I was surprised when 'Alex' spoke for the first time. I didn't expect words to come out of her mouth, since she has been silent since I first met her. I smiled at her.

"It's nice to meet you, Alex. My name is Steve." I held out a hand to the other for a handshake, hoping that she would know what it is. She just looked at my extended hand. It took a bit of time before she finally took hold of my hand.

"H-hello, Steve. I'm Alex"
