A girl I've never met before is running up to me.
"Hey, Kirishima, I'm so glad you're alright." She says in a honeyed tone. I smile at her regardless of knowing who she is and give her my attention.
"Thank you. Um, alright from what exactly?" She giggles.
"I'm glad you didn't get seriously injured in that elevator malfunction that everyone is talking about. Even though you and Bakugou are in the hero course, you needed to be rescued," she laughs nonchalantly. This girl proceeds to innocently bite her lip while waiting for me to react. I need to pretend like she doesn't bother me.
"How many people know about that?" I question her. She smiles smugly.
"The whole school."
I don't even bother saying anything else, I just turn around and hurriedly walk away.
Bakugou and I got stuck in the elevator from Friday night to Saturday afternoon. After a whole weekend without talking, Bakugou and I have classes. Today is Monday. I hate Mondays.
I remember when Bakugou won the UA Sports Festival and when he was restrained on the podium. He got really upset. Like, really upset.
If I learned anything from that day, it's that Bakugou does not like public attention. So right now, I'm on my way to find Bakugou so he can't take his anger out on Midoriya or something when he finds out that the whole school is talking about how we were stuck in an elevator together.
If I can calm him down, maybe it will help us bond better as friends? I'm not sure, I just have this feeling in my chest. I feel hurt at the idea that Bakugou could be upset. I just really want to see him right now.

I dart to our first class and see a few students socializing before homeroom starts. Luckily, Bakugou is in his desk. He's staring out the window in the back of the class. His hand is supporting his head up with his elbow on the desk as he watches the leaves dance in the wind outside.
Even though I'm out of breath from running all the way to class, I rush over to him. He doesn't notice me until I slam my hands down on his desk. Bakugou jumps a bit at the sound and because it's louder than I thought it would be, everyone goes quiet and turns their heads towards us.
"Shitty-hair? What the hell?" Some people begin to whisper things behind me and I try to ignore them. I'm sure Bakugou can hear the hum of gossiping chatter as well.
"Have you heard the news yet?" I gasp; my breathing still not a normal pace.
"No, did the purple pervert get caught peeking into the girls' locker room again?" He says sarcastically and bored. Fixing his gaze back on the soft morning view outside the windows. Am I not important enough for him to even look at? No, he's probably just not a morning person, he said he does not hate me and I believe him. I trust him.
"No, just-" I stumble to find the right words, "just don't- I think you won't really like it, so pay no attention to gossip for a few days" Wrong words! Wrong words!
He snaps his head back to face me and I think I did the thing I wanted to avoid, I made him curious.
"Why won't I like it?"
"It's um," I begin to panic. What do I tell him? He looks past me and shouts at the other classmates.
"Hey, extras! Do you know what people are gossiping about this week?" No one speaks. Everything goes still until Toru sheepishly mumbles,
