Chapter 4: Tanner

I left the beach. I was driving in my neon green sports car when I heard a sound. Bing! Someone texted me. I hope its Laila!

Laila: Hi. Is this Tanner? Cuz its Laila.

Yes! Laila finally texted me! I better text her back right now! Wait, maybe i should wait until I get home. Finally, I got home.

"Hey hon, how was the beach?" my mom called.

"Fine, totally fine!" I quickly replied. I ran down to my room. My room is the basement. I have a flat screen T.V, a pop machine, two bean bag chairs, a 3-person couch, and a king sized, blue bed. I jump onto the comfy couch and grab my phone out. I start texting Laila.

Tanner: hey laila! its tanner yah. so whats sup?

Laila: im still at the beach but im leavin soon. im gunna hang with Haylie at my house. wat bout u?

Tanner: im just chillin.later wanna come hang at my place? Im having a party with a few of my friends! You can bring a couple of your friends too! So,wanna come?

It was three minutes till she finally answered.

Laila: Sure. Is it okay if Haylie and Rider come with me?

I didn't know what to say. I wanted Laila to come, but I feel like Laila might like Rider. I just hope she doesn't.

Tanner: Totally! They seem really cool. Tell them the party is beach themed so wear anything you would wear to the beach.

Laila: Okay! Sounds cool! Whos all coming?

Tanner: Umm. Ryan and Jenette, Jake and Kendra, Josh and Allie, Tyler and Brittany, and Becca. Well, you, Haylie and Rider too. Lol.

Laila: Oh. By Kendra do you mean Kendrason? And by Becca you mean Rebecca?

Tanner: Of course! They are like two of my best friends! Lol

Kendrason Marks is one of my best friends. She has chocolatey, brown, flat hair with blond highlights. Shes so tall and skinny that she could be a model! Kendrason hates her name because she says it's a stupid name so she changed it to Kendra. Rebecca Jordan on the other hand, has long, wavy, dark red hair and she is thin but she is 5'2 where Kendra is 5'10. She always wears heels so she looks taller. She hates Rebecca Black and her name is Rebecca so we call her Becca. They are so awesome, and cute too. But I dont like them, I like Laila. She isn't like them at all. She has brown, flowy hair that goes to the middle of her back. She has shiny, green eyes that go with her mascara. She is 5'5 and has a skinny body. Shes really sweet, pretty, funny, and awesome.

Tanner: Well, I gotta go get ready for the party and stuff so see you later!

Laila: Okay. I should too. Bye!

Tanner: Bye!

Now, its time to get ready for the party. For when I finally ask Laila out!
