(Y/N) watched as the messenger disappeared down the street with swift, purposeful steps. She glanced at the envelope in her hands, her heart pounding with anticipation.
'Lord Amane sent me a letter... I can't even imagine what it says.'
She carefully opened the envelope and unfolded the letter, her curiosity building.
"What... is... this...?"

[To (L/N) (Y/N). Wait for me. It will take some time.]

Written in his elegant, measured handwriting, the message was short and cryptic.
'Wait for him? What does that mean?'
From that day onward, Lord Amane was conspicuously absent. Days turned into nights, and still, there was no sign of him.
'I wonder where he is... and what he's doing right now.'
(Y/N) found herself lost in thought as she cleaned the shop after a long day. She hadn't received any word from Amane since his brief letter, and the abrupt loss of contact left her feeling uneasy. Gradually, however, her routine returned to how it was before he'd entered her life.
"Meh..."
She sighed, pulling down the shop's curtain as she closed up. Just as she was about to step back inside—
"(Y/N)."
'Whoa!' She nearly jumped out of her skin, the familiar voice catching her completely off guard. Turning around, she saw Lord Amane standing there, a warm smile gracing his handsome face.
"Good morning, (Y/N)," he greeted her softly.
She gasped, words spilling out before she could stop them. "Lord Amane! Where have you been...?!"
Amane raised a playful eyebrow. "Oh? Could it be that dear (Y/N) here was waiting for me?"
"I wasn't!" she replied instinctively, even as a part of her knew it wasn't the truth. The moment she saw him, a wave of relief washed over her, dissolving the tension she hadn't realized she'd been holding.
Amane chuckled, his usual warm smile returning. "The truth is, I went back to Ueda. Considering that the woman I was supposed to meet went and eloped, I had to return home and explain, at the very least."
