Rainbow and Void Steve both cry out Lucas' name, gently slapping the side of his face and doing other various things in attempts to wake him back up. Rainbow kept looking around, in hopes to find someone that may be able to help, however the streets around them were empty and quiet.
"Rainbow, you were friends with Sabre," Void states, looking up at the strawberry-blonde haired boy. "Did he ever talk of this world? Maybe mention anything about healing facilities or similar?"
"He did try and teach me a little of this world," Rainbow tries to remember. "Healing... healing... police maybe? No, that doesn't sound right... doc-doctors! Doctors help sick people, I remember that! I just... I don't know where you could find them..."
"That's a start, at least," Void mumbles, before the door of the nearest house opens. Out walks someone who appears just a few years older than the Steves do, with short messy fawn hair and dark blue eyes.
Rainbow and Void both fall silent at the sight of this stranger, unsure who they were about to meet and if they could be trusted.
"Everything okay out here?" He asks, when he notices the small group beside his fence, and approaches. "Heard lots of screaming."
"Are you a- a doctor?" Rainbow questions the stranger, standing and leaving Void with Lucas, now both on the ground.
"I know CPR, but other than that I would not call myself a doctor." He replies with a slight chuckle. The more he spoke, the more both Rainbow and Void recognised the man's voice. But, it couldn't be. Could it? "Why? Did ya's need me to call 911?"
"I need directions to the nearest healing facility," Void states. "And a mode of transport there."
The man stands in slight confusion at Void's request, before looking between him and Rainbow, before down at the body that lay on the concrete.
"What's your name?" He asks, feeling slightly suspicious of these people. Who called hospitals 'healing facilities', and why didn't he just say yes to calling 911?
"Steve!" The blonde blurts, cutting off his friends' words. "And I'm... Elan."
"And on the ground?"
"Lucas."
"Lucas?" The man looks closer at Lucas' body, before his eyes grow the size of saucers. "Wait, I know him! What did you do to him?!"
"It wasn't us, ease up," Void grunts, now positioning himself to his feet and holding Lucas steady. "How do you know Lucas?"
"He's one of my friends, my name's Ryan," Ryan replies, fumbling with the lock of the gate and swinging it open. "What happened to him?"
"He uh-" Rainbow takes the lead in explaining, thinking that people of this world wouldn't quite understand what's been happening. "He got scratched by this... animal, and his arm's gone all infected."
As Ryan leads 'Steve' to a couch, where he lays Lucas down, he glances at his friend's wound. Though no doctor, Ryan could tell that whatever happened was more than something an animal of this world was capable of.
"What kind of animal was it?" He quizzes, skeptical of those who he assumed had lied about their names.
"We didn't really-"
"Raccoon." Once again, Elan interrupts his friend's answer.
"Nice try," Ryan claps, looking across at the two. "Yes, raccoons can scratch, but even with rabies they can't cause an infection that looks like that. Who are you people?"
"As we said, our names are Steve and Elan," Steve steps in. "Lucas was scratched by this animal, we're not quite sure if it was in fact a raccoon, but something got to him-"
"Where are you from? And don't say down the street, Lucas doesn't live anywhere near here."
The question takes the Steves off guard, and they both find themselves unable to come up with a lie.
"Minecraft," 'Elan' mumbles. "And our names are Rainbow Steve and Void Steve. Please, Ryan, trust us. We really are friends of Lucas's and we really need your help in this world."
"Minecraft huh?" Ryan chuckles. "Alright, I'll help you. What do you need? As I said, I'm not much of a doctor, but maybe the knowledge of both our worlds can help."
Void and Rainbow glance at each other, knowing simultaneously that Ryan would offer an incredible amount of help. Void looks once more at Lucas's wound, thinking of ingredients he knew to be of help.
"First we need some kind of healing potion," he states to Ryan. "Something that will ease the infection from spreading until we can make something stronger."
"I have..." Ryan turns from the three, walking quickly into the next room. From there, he calls out, "I have Bacitracin. It helps minor skin injuries from infection."
"That should work for now," Void calls back, and Ryan returns with a small bottle. Void instructs Ryan where to spread the cream, making sure to not touch the parts of Lucas's arm that had been opened.
"Will he be okay, Void?" Rainbow questions quietly, watching the two work from a slight distance. For a moment, Void doesn't answer, he only focuses on what Ryan is doing. Rainbow's thoughts make him believe that Void either didn't hear, or that he was ignoring him, and he goes to ask the question again.
"I don't know," Void manages to say, as he instructs for Ryan to stop. He looks back at his fellow Steve, a slight look of fear in his eyes. "I wish I could say I had an answer, Rainbow Steve, I really do. I wish I knew everything in this world so I could know exactly what I need. However... I really don't know anything. I'm just doing what feels right."
The group falls silent at the statement, which is only broken by Void sighing and lowering himself to the ground. He shakes his head, closing his eyes. Ryan looks between the two, before down at Lucas. Thoughts run through his mind, and he gets an idea. Could it work? He steps away from the group, walking back toward the next room.
"Where are you going?" Rainbow asks.
"To make a health potion," he responds, before he vanishes into the kitchen.
