It's all Sirius's fault. All of it. Or at least that's what Remus says.

"Only you could get us locked in the room of requirement Padfoot. Good going." Remus said bluntly.

"Well excuse me." He responded sassily.

"What are we supposed to do until James and Peter find us? If they find us."

"Oh, always the dramatic one Moony. It's the room of requirement, I'm sure you can find something." Remus simply huffed and sat down on the couch that had appeared behind him just moments earlier. After a couple minutes of silence, Remus felt the couch cushions sink under the weight of another person.

"Pay attention to me." The other boy whined.

“Not now Padfoot. I’m trying to think of a way out of here.”

“Aww come on Moony. We don’t have to leave right now.” He scooted closer to the younger boy and put his arm around him.

“But Prongs and Wormtail are probably worried about us.” He was getting slightly flustered, being this close to sirius.

“I’m sure they’re fine Moony. It’s Saturday, nobody will care where we are.” His voice got softer as he got closer.

“O-okay. What Should we do while we’re in here then?” Remus refused to face the other boy.

“Oh I’ve got a few ideas.” As he spoke, his lips grazed Remus’s ear and he shuddered. Sirius kissed down his jaw, stopping right next to his lips. Remus stiffened. “Are you okay Moony? I’ll stop if you want me to.”

“I know you will Sirius. It’s just, are you sure you want to do this?”

“Are you?”

“You can’t answer a question with a question Sirius.”

“And why’s that?” Sirius moved so that he was straddling Remus.

“Because it doesn’t properly answer my question.”

“Okay fine Moony. I am 100% sure that I want to kiss you. Better?”

“I guess.”

“Ok, so answer my question now. Are you sure?”

“I’ve never been more sure of something in my life.” Remus said with confidence he didn’t know he had.

“Alright then.” Sirius leaned down and gently against Remus’s. Sirius kissed him gently, still unsure of his answer. Remus moved his hands into Sirius’s hair and swiped his tongue across his lips asking for entrance. Sirius happily obliged. The kiss was sweet but had a sense of urgency.

Unfortunately they soon had to pull away for air. No words were spoken. The two boys just sat in silence staring at each other. The silence wasn’t uncomfortable, it was pleasant. Finally Sirius broke it by saying, “You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting to do that.”

“I bet I’ve been waiting longer.” Remus replied, still slightly flushed.

“Oh really?” Sirius challenged with his trademark smirk on his face.

“Yeah. Since fourth year.” Remus seemed slightly embarrassed to admit that.

“You’ve liked me for three years? Merlin you really have me beat. I only realized I had the hots for you when you showed up at the station in the fall looking sexy as hell.”

“Sexy? No, I think that’s you Padfoot.” At this point, Sirius had moved so that he was cuddling with the smaller boy rather than straddling him.

“You think I’m sexy? What happened to the innocent Remus that I know?”

“He died when you kissed me.” Remus turned his body so that he was facing Sirius again.

The mood of the entire room changed as Sirius spoke again. “I never thought I’d get to do that you know. Kiss you. I’ve been wanting to do that for months but I didn’t because I thought you’d hate me if I did. I think that’s part of the reason I’ve been so quiet this year. I’ve been avoiding -” Remus cut him off with a kiss, but pulled away after a split second.

“What in Merlin’s name made you think that I wasn't interested?”

“Well... you were always hanging out with that Emmeline girl.”

“We were studying Sirius, that’s it! I swear there was nothing going on in between us. In fact, she was even giving me advice on how to ask you out.”

“Wow I feel really stupid now. We could have done this a long time ago if I wasn’t so oblivious.” He smiled sheepishly.

“You can be really ignorant sometimes, you know that Sirius?”

“But you love me for it.” Sirius grinned and moved closer to Remus with every word that he spoke.

“Only because I have too.” He smiled back, and closed the almost non existent gap between their lips.
