Laughter filled the halls of the big house as he had chased after the dark haired girl. He skin was sun kissed, making her look like a goddess amongst other girls that ran amongst the house.

"You can't catch me Colten." The girls words slipped off her lips as laughter escaped her while the boy had attempted to catch her missing just hardly as she had slipped past the corner. Out of his reach once again.

"Aw come on Vanessa!" The boy laughed as he had turned the corner after her again. She had been his best friend in the last several years, and for him he would've done anything for her.

In his mother's eyes her family had enough money to be the perfect bride for her son. The perfect girl that would one day help him gain his own money amongst the Miller name.

"Colten, Vanessa lunch." His mothers words had echoed around the house. Calling for the two kids as Colby had finally caught the girl. His own weight catching her as they tumbled to the ground. Laughter still filled the air as his eyes had locked to hers. Dark brown iris's had matched the light green iris.

"Let's go get lunch." Vanessa spoke as she lauded a small kiss to his cheek before she climbed out from under him. At this age he though this girl was going to be the love of his life. Because at this time she was, she was everything he thought he would ever need.

"I'm right behind you." Colby spoke in this time he was still Colten the respectful Miller boy who had listened to his mother and knew his role amongst the household.

He had scrambled to his feet to follow behind the dark haired girl as she had let him catch up, her hand entertained into his as her head rested just slightly against his shoulder.

He had left that same night when they had sat on the bed together and said 'I love you' to each other. Before she had left his home that night. He didn't realize that would've been the last time he would've ever seen her.

"Hurry Colby." Kristi spoke his new name was forgein to him but he understood she put in the world for all of this for them. They had escaped durning the night before he was landed in Applegate. Where he made new friends where he became the person he was now. The boy who didn't love anyone he didn't want to replace Vanessa in his heart.

Then his eyes landed on her, she had nearly knocked the breath out of his lungs. It looked as if Vanessa had come back to him but in the form of a girl much shyer then her. A girl who hid behind her work and could never meet his eyes.

He knew this wasn't Vanessa, this wasn't the girl who dared him. Who would face him in the eyes and stay that way. Stuck in his world, but this girl who had crossed his path now in life had thrown him in for a hurricane of feelings.

He spent the next year trying to refrain from her, stay away from her. Get to know her and still not let her know him. But she payed attention to him more then he even realized.

"Colby this is Jacy." The girl spoke as his eyes met hers, the green irises had met his as he had let the world slowly fall at his feet. Someone who know challenged his rule of never falling in love.

"Nice to meet you." Colby spoke as he had looked at the girl who looked away from him quickly.

"You as well." Her words barely rose above a whisper as she had hid quickly behind two of the others amongst the group. He had been frozen in his own mind, this isn't Vanessa. But that never stopped him from falling instead for the shy girl who spoke her heart out to him and had calmed his never ending demons. The girl who opened her world for him, and accepted for him to do the same.

This wasn't Vanessa, but she had made him fall in love in a different way then Vanessa ever could. She had ensnared his mind, with her name echoing across his every thought. This was Jacy.
