the bird is scared
the bird is lost
her trust has always been crossed
she tries to fly
they shoot her down
why does she even stay around
she stays away
she holds back
waiting for the next attack
her feathers are stained
her wings are broken but mending
her heart is crushed from the pain they're sending
her sweet voice taken
the bird is alone
she wants to try and make it home
the bird sets out again
flying for her life
a shot rings through her strife
her body falls
her wings are torn
but everyone stands to morn
you took her away
you love her beauty when shes gone
treated her life a chess pawn
her bright white feathers
stained with red
you stood and watched as she bled
a beautiful creature
stolen from the world
you didn't care and didn't realize
that when you stole that bird
you stole me, my thoughts, my actions
you stole my future interactions
you stole everything i could be.
