Inside the tree was absolutely breathtaking. Shelves were lined up in neat rows with books stacked inside, their spines an array of different colors with symbols instead of words. About halfway to the back of the tree in between some shelves was a empty space where tables and pillows were lined up along with a desk to the left and a small platform of sorts surrounded by pillows and blankets. Looking up the tree stretch towards the sky for hundreds, maybe thousands of feet.
A bit above them was another level with shelves built into the side of the tree, a balcony sort of design leaving the center open and allowing all to see to the top of the tree where large glowing crystals were strung, colors either white/silver, purple, indigo, or navy blue. Similar crystals were hung on the walls of the tree, bringing light and beauty to the magic place.
"I have never seen so many books in one place," Logan said, taking it all in.
"This has got to be a nerd's paradise," Roman commented.
"Yes. This is the largest library to ever exist in this world. Only accessible if you are a Lunar or accompanying a Lunar unicorn. We might be able to find something in here to help you all," Nightingale then trotted over to one of the shelves, Fynn cantering behind him in excitement.
"Nightingale will you please read me the story!" Fynn exclaimed, picking a book on the nearby table in his mouth.
"No. I have work to do. Read it to yourself," snorted the black unicorn.
"Awe! But it's no fun when I read it! I can't do the silly voices you do!" Fynn pouted.
"Boohoo. Go cry in a corner," Nightingale said, grabbing several books off different shelves then returning to the table.
Fynn pouted some more before dragging himself to the platform and laying down on his side, opening the book.
"So Fynn, what's that book about?" Roman asked, thinking if he could entertain the colt he could get out of doing research.
"Two lovers. It's call "Sunflower Field" and is about a prince and a knight of the former Geode unicorn empire. They were destined to be together, but torn apart by responsibilities. It's my favorite story. Nightingale reads it to me every time we come here," said the colt.
"Why don't you read it to us. We've never heard that one before and it sounds very gay," offered Remus who appeared next to Roman
"Okay! It was the year 112 b.c. Prince Obsidian of the Geode unicorn empire had reached the age where he was to find the perfect match," so Fynn started reading, very enthusiastically and drawing the attention of Patton. The three right brain buddies all laid down on the pillows, their attention focused entirely on the colt and story.
"Let them read. It'll keep them distracted," Nightingale said while coming back with even more books.
"So what do we do?" Janus asked, standing across the table from Nightingale, both Logan and Virgil on his right.
"We read. Somewhere in here there should be an explanation," the black steed said.
"Sounds delightful," said Logan before looking down at the book in front of him.
"I have absolutely no idea what this says," said Virgil in a deadpan voice.
Nightingale didn't say anything, just kept reading though his silver horn began to glow, small sliver wisps appearing around it and glittering star like sparks popped as the magic left Nightingale's horn and darted over to the three remaining unicorns, the silver beams hitting them all in the eyes and causing them to snort in surprise. They shook their heads and blinked their eyes, looking around then realizing that they could now understand what the symbols in the book meant.
