AFTER TEXTING HER dad telling him some excuse that she had to stay in the school longer she put her phone back in her pocket and turned around finding stiles pacing in front of the windows "I can't take waiting around like this, you know? it's nerve-racking— my nerves are racked, they're severely racked"
"I could beat you unconscious and wake you when it's over" the former alpha spoke from his spot on the couch
isabella glared at the man "or i could shoot you with ten crossbows until you bleed to death?" she offered walking close to stiles
the stilinski boy felt surprised as the huntress defended him against peter but then again they all hate peter "you think erica's really dead?" stiles asked
"you think i really care?" peter said still with closed eyes
maybe if i creep up closer to him and stab his face he wouldn't even notice the huntress thought to herself and walked back to the table resting her body against it "i'm sure she's fine, stiles" she said in attempt to comfort the panicked boy
but of course stiles didn't listen and instead focused on worrying about another thing "i just... i don't understand the bank though, okay? like, why wouldn't they chain them up in some underground lair or something? they're an alpha pack right? so shouldn't they have a lair?"
"stiles not all werewolves have a lair" isabella said rolling her eyes "really?" the boy asked
"they're werewolves not bond villains" peter added
stiles got up from beside the brunette huntress and walked around the loft "wait a sec, wait a sec, maybe they're living there you know? maybe the bank vault reminds them of their little wolf dens!"
"stiles i don't think that's how they work" isabella spoke
peter sighed "wolf dens?"
"yeah wolf dens, where do you live?" he asked the werewolf
peter shrugged "in an underground network of caves hidden deep in the woods"
isabella rolled her eyes begging for stiles not to fall for another one of his sarcastic bullshit but of course it was stiles so he did "woah really?"
"no you idiot, i live in an apartment downtown" the former alpha said.
"Okay fine but still that just proves that there's something up with the bank, and why wait around for the full moon? why not just go ahead and kill them?" the stilinski boy continued to rant and the huntress no longer knew whether to feel annoyed or comfort him or just let him lose his mind
peter still doesn't seem phased though "maybe they think it's poetic"
isabella scoffed "they've alreaft had three full moons to be poetic" she said
"and here you two have only had one hour to be so annoying—" the werewolf sat up looking at stiles "what are the walls made of?"
"huh what? i don't know like wood or brick or..."
"no, no, no, the vault" peter said walking to where the huntress was currently standing and looked at the blue prints "the walls what are they made out of? where does it say that?" he askes flipping through the pages
isabella pushed herself off the table standing next to peter looking down "the walls what are they made of?" he asked as stiles grabbed another stack of papers from his bag "okay hold on— here hang on, here it's gotta be in there" he said handing it over
they looked through it for a while before stiles pointed at something "there! that's it"
"hecatolite" peter and isabella said at the same time, the same grave expressions spreading on their face and expression that stiles noticed "what? is that awful? that sounds awful"
