A flash that’s what I saw
When I sneaked closer it was clear what it was
It was a cape attached to a little girl
She lifted her head and screamed running away
Running after her I kept my eyes on that red cape
It seemed she didn’t know that the red cape was leading me right to her
I could almost taste the blood running down my throat
Sharpening my eyes I stayed focused
Seeing where she was headed I picked up speed
I looked back to see she had fallen
Taking advantage I ran to the cottage that was ahead
I wanted to torment the little girl some more
Mother wouldn’t be happy with me she always said never play with your food
