Henry happily turned his gaze to his family, feeling excited that they surprised him with a trip to the American Museum of Natural History.
" A-Are we c-celebrating my birthday at the Museum?" Henry excitedly asked his family.
" Yes. It was your sister's idea. She told me that you love Dinosaurs and History so much," Henry's father, twenty-eight-year-old Grayson Gilbert, fondly smiled at his youngest child.
Henry turns his gaze to his elder sister, eight-year-old, Elena Gilbert, as he happily attacks her with a hug.
" Thank you, Lena!" Henry brightly smiled.
" You welcome, Henry!" Elena hugs Henry as she happily smiled, feeling glad that her baby brother likes his surprise.
" Can we go now? I gotta go pee!" Henry and Elena's brother, six-year-old, Jeremy Gilbert, shouts at his family.
" Okay. I am going to take Jeremy to the restroom while you start showing the kids around the Museum," The three siblings' mother, twenty-eight-year-old Miranda Gilbert nee Sommers, informed her husband.
" Alright," Grayson politely nods his head as he and his family stepped out of the taxi.
Miranda grabs Jeremy's hand as they walked towards the Museum with Grayson, Elena, and Henry following behind them.
" What Dinosaurs are you excited to see Henry? Elena?" Grayson curiously asked Henry and Elena.
" I don't know much about Dinosaurs. So, I will let Henry decide which ones we should see," Elena politely responds to Grayson as she turns her gaze to Henry.
Grayson looks down at Henry as he and the children entered the Museum while Miranda and Jeremy went to the girls' restroom.
" I want to see the Bra-chio-saurus, which is another name for the Long Neck!" Henry excitedly informed Grayson and Elena.
" Alright. I think the Dinosaurs are in the Prehistoric Exhibit," Grayson responds to the two children as he takes them to the second floor of the Museum.
A few minutes later, Grayson and the two children entered the Prehistoric Exhibit. Henry and Elena wore an awed expression when they see a variety of dinosaur fossils in the room.
" Dad! That's the Long Neck I was talking about!" Henry shouts as he points to the giant dinosaur in the Prehistoric Exhibit.
Grayson whistled.
" That thing is sure huge and bigger than the Giraffe," Grayson responds to the two children.
" Look! Is that their babies?" Elena curiously yet excitedly asked Henry and Grayson as she points at the fake Long Neck babies that were coming out of medium-sized eggs.
Henry turns his gaze to where Elena is staring.
" Yeah! That's how their babies look like," Henry responds to Elena.
" Aww! It's so cute," Elena giggles.
" Can I have one, Dad?" Elena politely asked Grayson.
" You can get a toy of it at the Gift shop. You too, Henry," Grayson fondly smiled at his two children.
" Yay!" Elena and Henry cheered.
" There you are!" Miranda calls out to her family as she and Jeremy enter the Prehistoric Exhibit.
" Scary!" Jeremy quickly hides his face against Miranda's neck when he sees the dinosaurs.
Grayson fondly chuckled, finding Jeremy's fear of the dinosaurs, adorable.
The family walked through the Prehistoric exhibit, admiring the fossils and paintings of the dinosaurs.
" Can we see the Mummy? I saw a poster saying that the Museum recently added a Pharaoh Tut Exhibition," Miranda asked Grayson.
" Sure. I think the kids will enjoy that," Grayson softly smiled at Miranda.
" Hey, Kids! Let's go to the Pharaoh Tut Exhibition," Grayson calls out to his kids as he and Miranda start to leave the Prehistoric Exhibition.
" Okay!" Elena shouts as she runs after her parents and Jeremy.
" Coming!" Henry shouts as he was about to follow his family, but he stops when he sees that his shoes got untied.
" Ah! I need to tie my shoes," Henry shouts as he kneels, and he begins to tie one of his shoes, unaware that his family left the Prehistoric Exhibition.
A twenty-year-old male with dark blond hair and dark blue-green eyes named Niklaus Mikaelson stepped out of a limo. The young male hummed as his eyes curiously studied the building in front of him.
" A Museum? Why did the Witch tell me to come here?" Niklaus curiously asked himself as he recalled his conversation with a Witch that he passed by in the streets of New York the previous night.
Your most precious treasure resides in this location.
" My most precious treasure? What exactly is it?" Niklaus asked himself as he walks towards the Museum to investigate.
" All done!" Henry happily shouts when he finished tying his shoes as he stands up.
" Mommy? Dad? Lena? Jerry?" Henry calls out when he sees that his family is nowhere in the Prehistoric Exhibition.
Henry stepped out of the Prehistoric Exhibition as his brown eyes scanned his surroundings. The young male frowned when he can't find his family through the crowded hallway.
" Mommy? Dad? Lena? Jerry?" Henry worriedly calls out as he begins to walk through the crowded hallway.
Niklaus enters the Museum as he stared at his surroundings with a calculated gaze.
" What exactly is this treasure of mine? Witches are so obscure when it comes to their riddles," Niklaus mumbled.
Niklaus walked through the lobby as he then heads up the stairs to the second floor.
" Might as well pass the time by learning what humans think what truly happened in the past," Niklaus says to himself as he walks up the stairs.
Henry reached the top of the stairs as he scanned his surroundings, feeling scared.
Niklaus lifts his gaze as he froze when he sees a familiar face.
' It can't be,' Niklaus tells himself as his dark blue-green eyes intently stared at a young male that reminded him of his younger sibling.
" Henrik," Niklaus mouths out as he stares at the young male with a neutral gaze.
" I don't see them," Henry tells himself as he begins to cry, feeling scared.
Niklaus comes back to reality when he noticed the young male beginning to cry. The dark blond-haired male quickly walks up the stairs as he turns to stare at the younger male.
" Hello," Niklaus calmly greets the young male since he did not want to scare him.
Henry blinks when he hears a voice to his right. The young male slowly turns his gaze to see a taller male staring at him with worried.
" H-Hi," Henry sniffed.
" What is your name?" Niklaus asked the young male, feeling curious.
Henry recalled his parents telling him not to speak to strangers. But. For some reason, the taller male felt familiar to him.
" H-Henry Gilbert," Henry politely introduced himself as he rubbed his eyes, trying his best not to cry.
" Henry," Niklaus softly calls out, feeling amazed that Henry, not only, looks like his younger sibling, but his name is also similar to his younger brother, Henrik.
