Under the Stars

I lie awake in my bed, still having unclear thoughts about the man I love. It's been three days since he started avoiding me, which got me thinking:

"Has he found someone else?"

"Does he not love me anymore?"

"Was I lacking somewhere?"

I lie awake, staring at the white ceiling. 'Is everything going to be okay?' I thought to myself. Cheers to another day of anxiety.

On my way to school, I had an unexpected rendezvous with an old acquaintance. It was Bokuto's friend, Kuroo. "How's it going?" He asked, I just gave him a smile and proceeded to walk.

It was just me, walking alone on this busy street. The street where I used to walk with him everyday, be it school or to wherever. Now he's out there, having fun with someone else maybe.

School was tiring, and I had lunch with my friends as usual. Hinata was as loud as ever, Kenma inseperable from his games, Yamaguchi being a worrywart every now and then. This could keep me going on with the current situation.

The day past quickly, just as leaves were falling off from trees. It was fall, A week before our 2nd anniversary. Yet here I am, seriously doubting myself without him by my side.

As I walk through the busy street, I passed through something cute that attracted my attention. Two owl keychains, clearly made for couples. It reminded me of Bokuto.

I went in to buy it. So that even though he's nowhere beside me, I have something that resembles him near me. But little did I know, that his face would be the first thing I see once I enter.

"H-hey, Akaashi." Bokuto greeted me, his face was clearly panicking. "He-" I was about to greet him back when I heard someone else call him from he distance, "Bokuto!" I felt disheartened.

"S-sorry about this Akaashi." Bokuto quickly went to the direction of the voice. It was as if I was just some acquaintance showing up out of nowhere.

I bought the keychain and went out of the store as fast as I could. That way, I wouldn't be disturbing someone else's story.

"Are you really sure this would work?" Bokuto asked, his hands were sweating. "Akaashi seems to be very hurt by this." He added, though the man in front of him seems to not care. "Please tell me this would be worth it."

Bokuto was greatly worried. He couldn't keep Akaashi's face out of his head. Ever since that day, he started watching Akaashi's actions. He never thought that Akaashi would be this gloomy, considering he has some marvelouos friends.

The man tapped his shoulder, "You worry too much Bokuto, trust me on this will ya? It'll be worth it, I promise" The man spoke, his tone was convincing enough to let Bokuto's worries wash away for some time. "Fine Tsukishima, I'll leave it to you."
