The Girl Who Didn't Like Anyone

Um, who are you again?

As the days grew old Mariah was tired of feeling lonely, drowning in her sorrow every single night with no one to hold. She thought that having a boyfriend is what would make her feel content inside, but maybe she wanted something else instead.

Today felt different then yesterday. Mariah felt as if she didn't have to be with someone to be happy. She felt like she could go through today without being on the verge of tears every step she took. She was excited about what the day would bring.

She stepped by her locker, put in her code to the lock and the lock popped open without hesitation. She took her cream coloured binder out of her lavender backpack and threw her bag inside her locker. She slammed the locker door shut and put the lock back in place. As she slammed the door shut, the quiet guy, Eric, stood on the other side of the locker door that was no longer there. He quietly says,

"Mariah, can I ask you something?" 

Mariah was confused, Eric had never talked to her before, but she continued with,

"Of course! Whats up?"

"Would you maybe want to, uh, i dunno, maybe go to a movie or something sometime?" 

Mariah was skeptical at first, Eric had never showed interest in her at any point in her life. She didn't know what to say, as she was nervous this was a prank or something in the popular kids doing. As much as she was scared of that, no one had never asked her out before so she decided to say 

"I would love to! But I do have one question."

"Okay, whats the question?"

"This isn't some sort of sick prank, is it?  You've never showed interest in me, but now all of the sudden you ask me out? I don't know it just feels off."

"No of course not! I had one of those pranks done on me last year and it was awful.  I would never want to put someone through that pain, especially you." 

Hey y'all I just wanna if you guys want another chapter just let me know cause if you guys want one I'll make one.
