Before I fully became conscious I felt a warmth spreading through my bones, relaxing into my muscles and caressing my skin. I felt a warm weight on my forehead too. My eyes fluttered open to stare into deep sliver swirling eyes. I was laid on my bed and the angelic soulless man was sat on the edge next to me with his hand laid on my forehead. He stared back into my own eyes before slowly removing his hand. The lack of contact made me sad, which lead to me kicking myself for feeling that way. The others surrounded me. The twins stood to my right like a shield. The wolf, Cole was him name right? Lay next to my side filling me with an odd peacefulness, his head tipped up to look at me and he licked my cheek. I yelped and giggled whilst pushing on his chest, my fingers sinking in to his smooth black fur. I notice Sebastian by the window staring at me.
The all looked relived, bar the soulless angelic man whose eyes held no emotion as he rose from the bed and walked to the mini fridge to retrieve me some water. I didn't know if I needed to drink it or not but I chanced a sip when he passed it to me. I immediately discarding it not seeing any point to it. I mean the Vodka on the plane was purposeful as it gave me that buzz of relaxation I needed at the time. One of the twins, Adam spoke softly next to be "Why did you pass out?" The memory of looking at myself in the bathroom mirror suddenly slammed into me. My jaw went slack, I skirted out of the bed, rolling over Cole who growled a bit, I'd apologies late for that.
I opened the door, slamming it as hard as Sebastian did earlier. Oh, that poor wall. I flicked the light on and let out a little pathetic yelp at my reflection. No, no, no that's impossible. I studied myself closer. My hair was pretty much the same dark brown but I could see hints of redness growing out and fading into the brown hair. My face was pale, I'd always been pale thanks to living in England but this was pale to the level where you wouldn't leave the house for a good few fucking years. My eyes are what startled me the most though. Gone was my brown iris, replaced with a deep blood red one instead. My pupil was no longer black either but gold instead. My lashes were fuller and black.
Overall, I looked inhuman. If you took away the creepy eyes my skin was definitely in better condition being blemish free and I was pretty sure my cheek bones were more prominent too. I think I stared at myself for a good 30 minutes with the guys silently waiting behind me. Sebastian spoke up suddenly behind me, "do you look that different love?" Alls I could do is nod in response dumbly. Thanks to my time in the coffin I think I handled this situation quite well. Well if you don't include the blacking out part.
I spun away from the mirror and walked into my bedroom. The guys were all in the same positions as before other than Cole who moved to sit next to my feet when I turned to face everyone and Sebastion who was lingering next to me. "Oh, I remember I forgot to ask," I said turning to look at the angelic soulless man. "What's your name?" Sebastion chucked and I swear I heard the twin say something about me being unpredictable. "Ward," he bit out. His voice was still as beautiful as the first time I heard him but it sounded more pained this time. Yet his face was still held no emotion.
I nodded my head and turned to face everyone, thinking for a second before deciding I was happy with my decision I said, "get out." Turning to look at the twin's emerald eyes, Ward silver eyes, Coles blue eyes and finally Sebastians amber eyes. The twins shook their head in sink. I tapped my foot impatiently; I swear I was going to count down from ten soon. Cole whined at my feet and I had to physically stop myself from stroking his large muzzle. Sabastion went and picked up my discarded books and sat down on the bed like he owned the place. "What do you think you're doing?" I asked shrilly. He turned to me with a manic expression but his words didn't match his facial expression, "helping you study of course." he winked and flipped through the pages before muttering rubbish and throwing them to the ground. The twins nestled down on the beanbags near the fire but faced me. Ward leant against the window. Guess they were all making themselves comfy in my fucking bedroom. I flipped them off.
I sulked towards the bed but I had zero intention of studying. Maybe when I woke up I would. I didn't really want to go to sleep when they were all in the room. I sat against the headboard next to Sebastian, the twins turned more so they were facing me better sending me matching smug grins and Cole jumped to the bottom of the bed and stretched out. Giving up on being stern I say or more whine, "please just go I'm shattered, I'll study when I wake up." Sebastion turns to look at me and whispers "sleep." Bastard, he just compelled me. I'm angry because I didn't want to go to sleep around them but I don't think they'd hurt me given the choice at least. I tried to fight the compulsion for a bit staring at strangely serene face of Sebastian. I decided to let go, god knows I needed the sleep. I decided to trust them. Just this once I told myself. My eyes closed and darkness took me.
...
Someone was screaming, the sound was so powerful I whimpered slightly at the force of it. Trees clawed at the sky, a baby screamed in the distance. Blood perfumed the air. I walked through the forest, down the banking. I didn't want to move, I shouted for my legs to stop but they didn't. I heard whispers, I tried to listen in but I couldn't quite catch anything. My legs took me further and further down the banking until it lead to a clearing with a stream slicing down the middle. I gasped at the sight in front of me. A man crouched onto the grass with his head hung. I could tell he was ginormous even from a few meters away and even though he was crouched. His hair was a deep red and he was dressed in a black cloak. What startled me more though was the woman he crouched over. Her pale hand was touching the mans cheek whilst her other hand cradled a baby to her chest. "Look after my baby" She whispered to the man. I couldn't see her face though. He nodded thoroughly. I came closer to them seen. Willingly this time. I shouted if they needed help over and over again but they couldn't hear me.
I peered closer at the woman with pale skin, completely black eyes and brown hair. I could see the moment the life faded from the women's eyes and the mans shoulder shook, the baby's screams grew louder as if sensing their Mothers death. The mans large arms gently grasped the baby. "I will keep you safe," he whispered. "Just as I promised Coreena I would." The man laid the baby on the floor gently and and rested his hands over Coreenas chest. Within seconds her body was covered in darkness, it was as dark as what I'd imagine a black hole to look like. The darkness shrunk, eventually just leaving a small circle that the man clasped into his hand. I saw the darkness absorb into him, traveling up his veins and then there was nothing. I was so shocked at this entire scene but that darkness screamed pure evil to me. He picked up the baby and started to whisper in its ear but I couldn't catch anything he said even when I leaned in close. I was like it was completely blocked from my eyes.
