Finally (Akaashi Keiji x reader)

The Cafe

When you woke up in the morning, you wasted no time.  You sprang out bed and got ready quickly.  You made sure to put on a perfume that you used for special occasions.  After you finished brushing your teeth, you headed over to your closet to pick out your outfit.

You looked at yourself in the mirror, satisfied with what you chose.  After you finished getting ready, you gathered up your textbook, put them in your bag and ran out the door.  After walking for a few minutes, you saw Akaashi walking ahead of you.  You ran over and greeted him.

"Hey Akaashi!" you said with a big smile on your face.  He looked at you and smiled.

"Hey y/n" Akaashi replied with a small laugh.

The both of you talked about nationals which were coming up.  You were asking lots of questions since you didn't know much about it.  Finally, the two of you arrived at the cafe.  Akaashi held the door open for you and as you entered the cafe, a strong smell of coffee came your way.  You entered the cafe with Akaashi following behind you.  The both of you walked up to the barista and ordered your drinks.

"Hi there, what can I get for you today?" the barista asked.

"Can I get an iced americano?" Akaashi politely asked.

"Sure thing, and what would you like, miss?" the barista said as he wrote down Akaashi's order.

"I'll just get a mocha" you replied.

"All right anything else I can get you two?" 

Akaashi glanced at you to see if you wanted anything, but you just shook your head.

"No, that's it, thank you" Akaashi replied

"Alrighty, you two can take a seat and your order will be out in a few minutes" he said with a smile.

"Y/n can you go get us some seats? I'll be there in a second." 

"Sure thing!"

You walked over to an empty booth and sat down waiting for Akaashi.  About a minute later he joined you.  

"Alright sorry about that" Akaashi said as he sat down in the seat across from you.

"No problem" you said with a reassuring smile on your face.

"I hope you'll be joining us again at practice today"

"Sure! I had a lot of fun yesterday!" you say with a small blush tinting your cheeks as you smiled.

Just like the barista said, about five minutes later he brought you your order.  

"Alright, enjoy you two!" the barista said as he set down your items on the table. 

You saw him put down the americano, mocha...and then another plate.  Once he set it down, you realized that it was your f/d (favorite dessert).

"Oh sir! We didn't order this" you call out to him, right as he began walking away.

"Actually, I believe the young man ordered it after you left"

You looked over at Akaashi.

"I remember you mentioning it was your favorite dessert while we were walking so I got some for you" Akaashi said, giving you a little smile.

"Akaashi! Thank you!! What about you? We can share if you want!"

"No, it's fine, I got it for you.  Plus I'm not too hungry right now"

"Oh okay then. You can still get some if you change your mind!"

"Thanks y/n" he replied with a smile.

The both of you talked for about twenty minutes before realizing that if you stayed any longer, you would both be late to class.  You both got your stuff and quickly headed out the door.  

"Wait! We forgot to pay the bill!" you exclaim, remembering you hadn't payed yet.

"It's fine, I payed them while you got us some seats"

"Wha!- How much was it! Let me pay you back!" 

"Nope, my treat" he had a hint of confidence when he spoke.

"Tell me! I'm not gonna let you get away with this!"

"Too bad, no matter how much you beg, I'm not telling you" he laughed.  

That had been the first, most genuine laugh that you heard from Akaashi, but you decided not to say anything.

"Hmph" you pouted.

He just laughed again and the two of you walked to school together.
