wooyoung

wooyoung stood by his closed locker that contained the textbooks he didn't need at the moment. he already had collected those he needed for his first classes of the day, and stored them in his bookbag.

he leaned against his locker, waiting for his teacher to arrive.

his teacher had been running late, for the first time this year.

mrs. liu was never late. she was always in the classroom hours before the students were supposed to arrive.

while wooyoung had a strong dislike for the woman, he couldn't help but worry about her.

is she okay? he asked himself.

of course he worried, though. she never was late, and for mrs. liu of all the teachers to be late? it was surprising and upsetting, to say the least.

he lowered his gaze to his watch, reading the time.

8;03 a.m.

class was supposed to start at 7:30 a.m.

wooyoung threw his head back and let out a sigh, closing his eyes. he drew his tongue over his dry lips and turned around, planning to take a quick walk to the restroom, but was startled as he saw his principal in front of him.

"students." the taller male said, talking to wooyoung and his classmates.

"mrs. liu can't make it for a bit due to reasons we can not disclose. she should be back next week, and until then, you will be taught by ms. wang."

the principal stepped to the side, moving out of the way to reveal a younger woman, who wooyoung assumed was their substitute teacher.

"take it easy on her, this class is the first ever to be taught by her." the principal spoke before walking off.

ms. wang flashed a small smile and fumbled to fish the classroom key out of her jean pocket. when she finally pulled it out, she unlocked the classroom door.

the students poured into the classroom, some students clustering together and whispering among their little groups.

wooyoung followed in lastly, besides ms. wang, who walked in after wooyoung.

wooyoung snorted as he saw the students weren't in their assigned seats. he should've figured this would happen since mrs. liu wasn't there.

he walked over to his seat, which surprisingly wasn't taken by his bully; park seonghwa.

park seonghwa was infamous for being one of the biggest douchebags in the school. he and a few boys, actually.

wooyoung sighed and lowered himself into his seat, hanging his bookbag on the back of his seat.

he turned around in his seat, unpacking the textbooks he needed for this period, and stuffing them into the desk.

he arched an eyebrow and pulled out a neon yellow sticky note that was stuck to the right side of his desk.

another one? he thought to himself.

he read the note that was wrote on the small slip of paper. "tch. jerk." wooyoung rolled his eyes and crumpled up the neon yellow paper.

the note read; i saw you at lunch the other day. maybe you should skip lunch today. i mean, you're already awfully fat. - s.

from s. he repeated over and over again in his mind.

the notes had started last month, and they always had something mean to be said.

"from s." he mumbled under his breath. "who the fuck is s?" he asked himself before it clicked in his mind.

"park seonghwa!" wooyoung pushed himself up to his feet, glaring at the confused male.

"stop leaving this goddamned notes in my desk." wooyoung ordered, walking over to seonghwa and throwing the balled up note on the male's desk.

seonghwa arched a brow. "excuse me?" he questioned and smoothed out the letter, reading it, wooyoung assumed.

"tch. i didn't write this. i wouldn't spend my time writing a note to you, jung. and i've been outside the classroom all morning, not far from you." seonghwa spoke.

wooyoung parted his lips, but no words sounded from him. seonghwa was right.

wooyoung said nothing and simply snatched up the note, walking back over to his desk.

he slid down into his desk, pulling the hood of his large sweater over his head and burying himself into his hoodie.

goddamn it, wooyoung. he scolded himself in his mind.

he had embarrassed himself in front of the whole class when all he wanted to do was find out who had been leaving the mean notes in his desk, all to no avail.

he had spaced out the whole class, lucky ms. wang hadn't called on him the whole period. after a while, he was pried from his thoughts as the bell for the transition to the next period rang.
