Kai stood out in the monastery training area, he had a twig in his hand and a rice hat, "Now my students, today we wi- Ow ow ow!"
"Very funny Kai, but please actually do your job." he let go of Kai's hair.
Koda and Silvia chuckled a bit, Koda's was a little shaky of course.
Kai tossed the stick but kept the rice hat, "So, I hear you two are having issues with Fire?"
Silvia nodded, still a bit untrustworthy of Kai.
Kai stood a bit back and made a fireball, doing some fancy moves with it
"The element of fire comes naturally to me, and you too Koda, you just need to dip down to feel the inner flames." he then looked to Silvia.
Silvia had her spell book, she was flipping through the beginner level spells. "I have a fire spell in here, but it never works."
"Hmm, may I see your spell book young one?" Wu was next to her.
Silvia debated it but slowly handed it to her sensei.
Wu flipped through the pages and spotted the fire spell, handing it back to her, "Close your eyes, and reach out to feel the fire."
Silvia stood up, doing as Sensei Wu suggested, as she closed her eyes as a small red/orange ball of Flames appeared.
She started to try a few spells with fire and almost ended up burning someone's butt off, but she managed to go through smoothly from there. She seemed to be happy but didn't show much emotion towards anything other than anger or annoyance. But was that what she really felt? It was hard to tell.
"Come on work!" Koda clenched his wrist as he tried to make a fireball, but nothing happened.
Kai watched and sighed, "Koda, let off the powers. You'll only hurt yourself." he put his hand on Koda's shoulder.
Koda sighed and sat down on the ground, "What good am i if i can't even use my powers?"
"Look, you don't need your powers to be a great Ninja, you're pretty skilled with a katana and even then you're still a great asset to the team." Kai smiled at the Orange gi'd ninja in training.
Wu walked over to observe, "Ah yes, it seems you're learning from your past Kai, you'll make a great Sensei some day."
Silvia looked over at the small group, showing a slight smile and then continued to her next spell, which she needed to complete her chapter and fully master the fire element. She started with a small flame and it slowly got bigger over time and at a certain point it got out of control and she tried to put it out. She got a little scared for a moment but the emotion was still hidden and she just headed inside. She tried getting her mind off of it by having a small snack, but this is the moment she discovers her love for chicken.
Koda gasped and looked at the giant out of control flame, sticking his hand out he tried to pull it back into control.
The flame moved which made Koda smile but when the flame moved past him and to Kai his smile faded.
"Are you ok?" Sensei Wu ran over to her to see if she was hurt.
"Hrmf?" she had a mouthful of chicken.
Kai smiled, "I think shes fine." he noticed Koda sulking, "Hey.. it's ok, you tried your best."
"But my best isn't enough.." Koda stood up and walked inside the monastery.
Silvia looked at Koda, feeling bad for the boy. She debated on whether or not to help him, but she came to the choice of helping. She started to go after him and started dragging him outside.
"S-s-silvia what are you doing?" his face was red
"Helping you. Fire takes a bit to understand." She seemed determined.
Koda sighed, "Ok...if you really want."
She smiled. It was probably the first time in forever that she's shown any emotion. "So fire is a bit complicated. It can be a dangerous element, seen in eyes as a sign of anger, causing pain and fear. But at the same time it can be a small comforting light and warmth."Koda felt his heart beat faster, "O-ok." he held out his hands like she did earlier.
Silvia then spoke in a comforting tone. "Harness your inner flame, and let it course through your body. Fire is a feisty element. But remember that you are in charge. Don't let it take control of itself. You are the one who's in control."
"O-ok.." he closed his eyes and harnessed the fire within, a small fireball appearing.
"Woah...he's doing it." Kai was surprised but happy.
Jay watched the two then spoke. "She's magical."
Nya stood beside Jay and watched, "I can sense greatness with these two..." she smiled.
Silvia smiled, happy to see her new friend progressing through his elemental powers. "Now channel it. If you want to control an element of destruction, you have to feel it. Never lose control of it."
"Focused...never lose control..." Koda had his eyes closed, he was thinking of the element and silvia. Making his fireball grow but it stayed in control
"Remember. If you gain anger then your element will grow, but not in a good way. You could become destructive." Her words were soft but also strict.
Koda nodded in understanding, his fireball couldn't be anymore calm if he wanted.
"Great job. You progressed greatly. I say we call it a day?" Silvia stood.
"Yea.." he opened his eyes and smiled at Silvia.. Before blushing.
The two headed inside and took the rest of the day off. It was quite an eventful day, especially for the both of them.
