Alex

I'm kinda excited to see what a Georgia pep rally is like. I walk into school on Friday, and it's a sea of blue. It's gonna be hot today, like 102 outside hot, I'm wearing my jersey and a pair of jean shorts with my tennis shoes. I walk over to where the football team is standing in a circle around a few girls and join them. I was not expecting Lauren to be in the middle of everything.

"Okay we're all here now, so you can do your usual Friday thing," Jason speaks

Lauren squeals and goes around hugging everyone, but stopping when she gets to me.

"What, just because I'm from Chicago, I don't get a hug?" I ask

Lauren looks me in the eye for a split second, then steps into my open arms and rests her head over my heart. In an effort to make this last a little longer, I press a kiss to Lauren's hair.

"Well, I have to go get ready for the pep rally, but I'll see all of you later," Lauren tells us

Lauren

There's a reason I didn't want to hug Alex, every time I'm near him, my heart beats faster and my mind goes a mile a minute thinking about his strong frame and his lips. I half run away from the football team to head outside to practice for the pep rally. Around noon, everyone from Freshmen to the staff and faculty head outside for the pep rally. We're actually on the baseball field because parking trucks on the football field would tear it up. The football team is sitting on the ground and Ally, Lizzy, and I are laying down in the beds of trucks. The song "Unstoppable" by The Score comes on and the tailgates flip down. We do our dance and then some of the football players come and help us down from the trucks. Of course, Alex comes over to me and helps me down. Then we walk to the football field for the rest of the show, I make a tough decision and sit on Alex's lap.
