Do You Know the Muffin Mare?

Vinyl was a confident. She was always a confident pony. Always keeping her head high and always bobbing her head to the beat of her music. Sometimes she was obnoxious and seemed to talk too loud and too much, but she was a nice pony to be around.
It was Vinyl's roommate, Octavia's, birthday. The whole room was decorated that day with purple and black balloons and the curtains were opened to let the warm sunshine in. "Just the way she'd like it!" Vinyl thought to herself.
It was eight in the morning and Octavia would be here at seven, after her concert tour across Canterlot. Vinyl and Octavia were well known musicians and were known across Equestria. They really didn't get paid that much so Octavia was playing as much as she could.
Then Vinyl remembered that she had to pick up Octavia's birthday cake at Sugar Cube Corner just a few blocks away. With that thought in mind, she went out. It was autumn. The Running of the Leaves would start soon and the crisp,cool air awoke Vinyl's senses. That told her it would be an amazing day.
A few minutes later a pony named Derpy crashed into her. Since Derpy was a mailmare, she delivered mail every so often and usually crashed into ponies. Mail flew everywhere. "Hey Vinyl!" She said with a cheery grin. It seemed like cross eyed pony had forgotten all about the crash. Not knowing what to say Vinyl said the only thing she could think of, "Uh.... Hey Derpy!" "So I was delivering the mail and some pegasus wasn't watching were he was going!" Vinyl was not expecting the conversation to be this long so she continued on her way to Sugar Cube Corner. Derpy though, wanted to talk to her for some unknown reason. " Do you know where Carousel Boutique is?," she asked. " I need to give Rarity a special delivery for her new line! She says it's very important." Vinyl told her that it was left of the Quill Shop. She knew she had all day to pick up Octavia's cake so she could help her deliver the package. After she accepted Derpy's invitation she and her trotted to Carousel Boutique. Vinyl was not fond of the store because she hated high end fashion. All she ever really wore were hoodies and t shirts and anyway most ponies really didn't wear clothes. After about five minutes of endless trotting the two ponies arrived at the boutique. Vinyl realized that it was pretty much pointless for her to come, but she thought that Derpy just wanted some company. Finally they arrived and she helped a Derpy drop of her letter. The last thing Vinyl did was to thank Derpy for the outing, but that muffin mare was gone. She sighed to herself and continued on her way.
