"CeCe, can you hear me?" Where am I? Looking around, everything was wet and blue. Glancing up there was no sun in the sky, just a big blue horizon. Now looking down I saw the most beautiful thing in the world, a city covered by a dome and everyone was flying, no swimming around the countless shimmering towers. They were mermaids, everyone wearing something different, some in white looking uniforms but most were wearing normal looking clothes. Yet once in awhile a mermaid would swim by wearing a beautiful flowing dress that sparked as they swam, and one was swimming toward me.

"Mum?" It was her. But something was different. Her skin was healthier than I remember and her hair wasn't the old gray color but s beautiful purple and she was wearing one of the dresses. "Mum!" Rushing into her arms I released that she had a gorgeous purple tail flowing behind her. "Mum, you're a mermaid, does that make me one too?" Pulling back a sad look crossed over her face. The image started to fade, mum's tail disappeared, her clothes became tattered, her hair turned back to gray and a whirlpool swallowed us up. Finding it hard to breathe everything went dark.

Looking up I saw the big sun in the sky, meaning I was back on land. Rolling over onto my side I vomited up water but what k saw made me even sicker. Dad sat next to the mum I had seen before the whirlpool, laying on the grass, away from the water. Her skin had begun to crack and dad didn't seem afraid of the water. Soon everything started to fade, I tried calling out to them but they didn't seem to hear me. Soon my room rushed back at me, I was sitting up on my bed, water dripping off me and sitting up on her mattress was Maria, dripping wet also and looking at me as if I was a monster.
