It's a known fact that luke hated the gods and wants them gone so he turned to Kronos. Luke was 16 maybe 17 I'm not sure but now percy is we that age.

As you see in trials of apollo he did not like the fact that apollo was at his door.

So I have a theory that the reason demigods only live till around 16 years of age is because the gods kill them of. Not personally as this would make all the demigods turn on the gods. But maybe the prophecies aren't real maybe they are messages from the gods.

The reason percy didn't turn evil was because his fatal flaw is loyalty. Maybe the reason the gods put percy in the prophecies so much is because they can't kill him. He Defeated ares at age 12 with little to no training imagine what he could do now.

This is probably the reason why they tried to give him immortality. He Defeated ares so they sent him to Kronos but their plan didn't work. Percy killed Kronos and the gods knew he was to powerfull.

The reason I said that prophecies are messages from the gods is because the prophecies act as a lure. Demigods aren't supposed to survive the guest.

It's like a natural culling. If your land is overun with an animal of prey (demigods) you lure a select few (the guest's) and set them up against their natural predator (monsters)

This is only a theory. I am not saying any of this is true. If you want to add something else please comment I might add them to my next chapter. (if I make one)
