perhaps the power of darkness is all around us

but why must darkness run rampant in this world?

why must innocent lives be lost to violence and chaos?

because its the nature of darkness to rule? because in the face of darkness, ordinary people are mere bugs to be crushed?

but it isnt only some distant, otherworldly light that's capable of tearing through the darkness.

there are seemingly ordinary people in the darkness who never relinquish the power to fight.

together, we will live, and together we will stay forever.

the world had changed so much within a span of just 4 years, it's almost ridiculous. everything began from this very day when war broke out in the early days of 2021, it came so suddenly and left just as quickly leaving the world in ruins. just like its predecessors world war 3 left the entire world devastated in its wake, if not worse with the inevitable use of nuclear weapons. with a majority of its resources exhausted mankind has been thrown to the brink of extinction. around a half of the earth's population were the first to vanish when the war began and then the remaining thirds soon followed as an unprecedented nuclear winter overwhelmed the earth, leaving only a quarter of the human population alive which continues to decline with each day. for those who were lucky(or perhaps they were more than just lucky) enough to survive this crisis, groups were formed. well i wouldn't say i was all too surprised considering the humans social nature, but unfortunately this large group seemed to have it's own problems as the group soon broke apart to form two independent organizations.

the former which seeked to return humanity to its former glorious self, and the latter which was content with ruling over the remaining population and forming a dystopian society of it's own.

now dear reader, let's imagine you are one of the sole survivors of this tragedy. what will you do if given the choice to join either of these groups. will you go with the loyal genesis or the tyrannical diablos? the choice is yours.
