I turn around and see the voice that was behind me.

You've got to be fucking kidding me.

As I suspected it was the fucker himself who got the balls to show up here again.

"Derek, what are you doing here?" I asked while resisting the urge to laugh at the bruise I left on his right eye.

"Why angry to see me? Shouldn't I be the one who gets to be angry at you, after all, look at my face?" He said while pointing to the bruise that I gave him.

"Oh, how's your arm by the way?" I said with a smirk.

"It's fine," He said while clutching his arm. "No thanks to you."

I couldn't help but chuckle a little bit before I had to force it back down my throat. This guy already had it out for me, don't want to give him more of a reason for him to put more of a target on my back. I hear a whimper come from behind me, that is when I remembered that Mary was behind me.

Shit. I forgot she was still here.

I look back and see Mary trembling and slowly backing away. I forgot that she was even there for a bit, but I don't want to drag her into this again. I couldn't do anything until I knew she was out of here, but I also didn't want to be here either.

"What do you want Derek?" I asked while trying to move my hand behind me as nonchalantly as possible and signal for Mary to get out of here.

"I have a bone to pick with you." He said while pointing at me.

I still see Mary from the corner of my eye so I try to signal her again while distracting Derek.
"Oh really now? I don't think you're in any position to be making demands to me." I said signaling her again. She still didn't budge, she looked terrified and frozen in place.

"Well if you're going to do anything at least wait till the girl leaves so she doesn't have to see this," I said signaling her again.

"Oh, what a gentleman." He said rolling his eyes.

"It's called common sense, I highly doubt that a victim wants to see the person that brought them trauma. So either you leave or she leaves, either way, someone is leaving whether you like it or not." I answered back.

"Well then tell her to leave." He said raising his tone, I could tell he was starting to lose his patience.

What do you think I've been trying to do.

But before I could do anything else, Mary saved me the trouble.

"You know what, I can just leave. I have to be going home anyway." She said nervously.

She then quickly ran up to me and whispered in my ear. Which I did not like, but she just wanted to thank me. She then turned away from both of us and practically ran away.

"Finally now that she's gone you and I can finally talk," Derek said with an annoying-looking smirk.

"Save yourself the trouble and tell me what the hell is going on," I said really annoyed, itching to wipe that annoying ass smirk right off his face.

"You never were a people person," he said while pacing around me. "Always trying to keep a conversation as small as possible."

"You know if this is truly as important as you say it is, you sure take your sweet time trying to tell me about it."

"Dramatic effect," He shrugged.

"Not working for ya, so far," I said as I rolled my eyes.

"Fine," He said as he stopped pacing. "I'll get to the point."
