VII. F - Chapter 140: "Bruce Wayne...I'm a huge fan"

Earth-1

Ray's Lab, Waverider

Thanks to Sarah, Lex was now trapped in a containment field, turned cell, in Ray's lab. Though it wasn't completely void. Lex has been reading a book to pass the time, that is until Kara and Kate walked into the lab asking questions about the Book of Destiny.

Lex gives Kara a side glance, "You think the book can bring back the destroyed Earths?" he asks. She stares up at him waiting for a direct answer, instead, he laughs. "Oh, too good,"

Kate picks up the tablet that can control the force-field, "We don't have time for this," She presses the button that lowers the field, and grabs him with both her hands. Kate shoves him into the nearest wall, while Kara stands idle by.

     "Tell us how to use the book or lose an arm... your choice," she says, now pinning his arm behind his back.

     "Do the strong-arm tactics work in Gotham City?" he asks sarcastically. Kate wasn't having any of it and knees him.

He grunts out in pain, while Kate hovers her head over his shoulders, "The book" he breathes, "channels ancient and endless power. It takes immense willpower and focuses to make it work,"

     "What did you focus on?" Kate asks.

     "His hatred for Superman,"

     "Got it in one," He says. Kate tightens her grip, "ahhh...But that was easy for the book to provide. You try to use it on the scale that you're talking about, and it could drive you maaaad, Like Deegan,"

Lex clenches his teeth as Kate drags him back to his cell. Kara presses the button in annoyance, finally getting some answers.

Kara grabs Book of Destiny, and takes it with her as she goes to leave the lab, "Kara," Kate blocks the exit, "there's no telling what kind of ripple effect this could have," she tells her lightly.

     "I'm supposed to be the Paragon of Hope, right?" She reasons. "Maybe this is my role, to bring back my Earth and...and Argo and all the others. I have to find a way to fix this,"

When Kara leaves, Kate turns around to face lex, sending daggers his way before following Kara.

There was a small smile making its way to Lex's lips, "See you soon," he calls back.

Earth-1

Central City

Flash meets back with Vibe and Frost, telling them, "Perimeter's clear. There's no sign of any Quantum Tower on Earth-1," He then turns his head towards the other person in the tunnels, "What are you doing here, Pariah?" he asks, not so kindly.

     "Behind this wall... his domain,"

     "What Mr. Green Jeans is trying to say, is once we get inside, we can actually stop the anti-matter wave right at the source," Cisco says.

     "All right, let's do it," Barry says, his voice barely above a whisper.

Cisco takes in a deep breath, hesitantly reaching the first symbol he saw Pariah touch. One after another the symbols he touches glows. After pressing the tenth and final one in the sequence the concrete wall rises.

The Flash looks to his companions before taking the lead through the opening.

What they saw on the other end rivaled even S.T.A.R. labs. The walls were built to the brim with bricks and in the center of the room was a treadmill powering an antimatter cannon.
