"I hate the Fates" Percy muttered.

Marinette laughed quietly. The second they heard that laugh, Marinette and Percy were helping everyone out of the building without getting caught by Scarecrow's goons.

Their guide, Dick had seemingly disappeared.

Thankfully, no one had gotten a spray of the fear toxin.

"MWAHAHAHAHA!!!!" His maniac laughter filled the air.

Followed by the fear toxin.

God damn it Marinette!!! Never jinx the situation!!! She admonished herself.

Amy got a face full of the fear toxin. She stumbled backwards, and panic erupted. The group she was trying to escort outside ran like wild boars, screaming and flailing their hands around.

"Amy!!! Amy!!!" Nico was shaking the girl, trying to see what's wrong..

Her eyes were clouded over, and her lips quivered. Marinette would have helped her, but the remaining men started attacking everyone.

She nodded at Chloe, and the two, along with Thalia, Annabeth and Bianca ran, taking down the goons.

I wish you were never born.. A painfully familiar voice echoed in hindi.

No... No... Not this, Amy thought.

You're a disgrace to the family!!!

Go die. It's not like anyone would miss you.

Stop... Stop... She chanted to her head.

Stop crying you insolent child!! How dare you?

I heard she killed her parents

I heard she killed her uncles and aunt!!!

Did you know that she murdered her cousin?

Nightwing had tried to take on Scarecrow, but surprisingly he had improved his original 'tactics'.

If 'tactics' meant spraying everyone on the face with fear toxin.

He noticed that Amy had ready gotten a faceful of fear toxin.

"Oh BIRDIE!!!" the guy yelled.

He cursed.

Scarecrow was holding Amy by the hair. The poor girl wasn't even aware of what was going on around her, she was frozen on the spot. And shaking violently.

"Where's the bat???" He said.

Nightwing was about to take his Sticks out when Scarecrow held a gun to her head.

Was she a magnet for guns or something?

"One more step and say bye to the poor girl" Scarecrow cackled.

He pressed a hand to the com in his ear and started speaking.

"Backup needed. Scarecrow is holding one of the students in the French class on gun point. The girl also has been sprayed with the fear toxin and-"

Nightwing paused in shock.

Amy, by some miracle, had fought back the fear toxin. It was evident on her eyes. The misty look had disappeared, replaced with one of determination.
