Chapter 5: One Step Closer

~Dakota's P.O.V~

We just pulled into the parking lot of the venue and me and Julia both jumped out of the truck as fast as we could.

"Phew, we FINALLY made it." I laughed at her comment.

"Omg 2 hours and your freaking out! Louisvile isnt even that far!" i laughed while we were walking to line. We were about the 15th person or so, so it wasnt that bad.

"You look gorgeous, Tony will def be checkin you out gurlll!" I complimented Julia.

"Pfft whatever," she began. "You, sir, are an asshole. A stunning one at that." She giggled.

"Jaime will tots be drooling ovah yew!" She winked at me and i was bent over from laughing so hard.
*About 5 hours later*

The doors opened and we rushed in with the croud hot on our heels. Our bodies pressed up against the front row gates as the croud rushed around us. We waited in agony and my heart dropped when i heard the first cord.

"Thanks for a great show guys, We'll see you outside!!" Vic screams as he darts off the stage.

We move as quickly as we can to get outside to meet them.

I ran up Jaime. My heart was beating so fast, i was speechless.

"Hi." He smiled and wrapped his arms around me. I quickly slipped the note from my pocket to his.

"Hi!" i gushed as we broke apart. "Im Dakota."

My smile widened. "Hi Dakota, im pretty sure you know im Jaime." He laughed.

"Can i get a picture?" We took a picture and Julia was still hitting it off with Tony. Me and Jaime said our goodbyes, i gave Mike a hug then walked over to Julia.

"Hey guys," I greeted Julia and Tony, then Vic walked up. "Hi, Oh um Tony... This is my best friend, Dakota.. and hi Vic." 

"Hi Dakota." Tony gives me a hug and Vic waves.

"Well thanks for coming out tonight, guys, its greatly apprectiated." Vic thanked us.

"No problem. It was a pleasure." I answered.

"Well were gonna go, dont wanna keep you from all those fans." Julia laughed, along with me, Vic and Tony.

"Right, most of them are crazy." Julia and i waved the boys our goodbyes and we retreated back to the truck.

"That was fucking amazing." Julia said. I nodded my head in agreement.

~Jaimes P.O.V~

Finally. I thought as i walked back to the bus.

"There was so many kids tonight." Vic breathed out.

"I know, right? I met this really sweet girl, i think her name was Dakota. But she was really cool." I said.

"Hey i think i met her too, and her friend Julia. They were both pretty cool." Vic agreed.

We walked on the bus and Mike went straight to the liquor cabinet.

"Anyone wanna drink?" he asks as he pulls out a variety of alcohols.

"Me!" I called as i walked to the bunks to grab some pajamas.

I heard a 'me' and a 'yessss' come from Tony and Vic. I grabbed my pj's and headed to the bathroom. I took my pants off to see a folded up piece of paper fall out.

"Hmm? What the fuck?" i bent down to pick it up. I quickly unfolded it to see a message sprawled acrost the paper in black sharpie.
"If your looking for a sign, this is it.
You can trust me. Call or text me anytime.
859-758-8800."

I took this into consideration. Should i? I mean, it says its trust worthy... yet it came from a fan. I sat it on the counter and put my pants on, then shoved it in my pocket. I unlocked the bathroom door and threw my jeans in the bunk area.

"HIME-TIME!!" i heard Mike call my name and hand me a drink.

"Ayeeee." I called back and took a chug.

"Vic? Can i talk to you for a minute?" I asked Vic and signaled for him to follow me into the back bunking area.

"Wassup man?" He sat on his bunk.

"So when i was changing my pants this fell out." I handed him the note and he quickly read it.

"Hmm.."

"What should i do?" I asked him, sitting in my bunk.

"Yolo dude." He chuckled and took a drink from his cup.

"So yes?" I asked, he shrugged. 

"Go for it, you never know." With that he walked out of the back room.

I got my phone out and went to work.
