Book 2: Guardian - Choi San

Part 4

When Seungjun arrived at Milkyway he was really nervous, but the moment he stepped into the school's office he saw two people busy talking and a few students scattered around, waiting for their own meetings.

One of the men who were talking saw Seungjun and waved him over, he nervously approached them, and the closer he got the more he wanted to run away again.

Because the other person was the and only Choi San, and somehow just seeing him makes Seungjun very, very nervous.

"Ah Seungjun welcome to Milkyway, I'm the principal, if you need anything please do come see me," the man said with a warm welcoming smile, "And this is Choi San, he will be your producer, he will be helping you get comfortable around here" Seungjun looked at San in surprise.

The principal left the two together so he could attend to other business. They stood there awkwardly, neither of them saying a word, San not being sure how to start a conversation, and Seungjun being too shy to even say anything.

"Uhm, let me show you to your room, you must be tired from your commute," San said with a smile and Seungjun nodded a little.

The two walked out of the office in the direction of the dorm buildings.

"Do you want me to tell you some things that will help you settle down easier?" San asked the boy and he instantly nodded.

"Cool, so you will be rooming with Jongho, he is one of my best friends, he is also really nice so there is no need to worry about how he will treat you, he may be strong but he won't even hurt a fly," San told the boy.

"Hmm, I think my brother showed me something with him in it... I think it was a performance but I don't know"

"Oh, the little boy that was at the concert with you right?" San suddenly asked, surprising the boy a little.

"Yeah, he wanted to attend your concert so I took him"

"What a nice big brother," San said with a smile.

San kept the conversation going, slowly getting the boy to feel comfortable enough to open up to him.

"Wait, your 16 right? You are the same age as Jongho, now I understand why they placed the two of you together" San said when they arrived at the room.

"Oh, I didn't know we were the same age..."

"Yep, Jongho is the youngest among my friends, we are a total of 9 right now but with you, it will become 10, if you want I can go introduce you to them once you placed your things down, they are quite excited to meet you," San said happily, Seungjun looked at him a little nervous.

"Will I meet them often?"

"Yeah, we are a small team in a sense, well only five of us, with you we are six, but Hongjoong hyung and Hwanhee are producers, a little while back Hwanhee made his debut as an idol as well and then we have Hwa hyung and Yeosang, they are both idols" San explained to them.

"Oh, then that might be a good idea to go meet them," Seungjun said softly.

"Great, let's place everything down for now and go to the studio," San said happily.

Seungjun was taken by surprise, the person he saw on stage was quite different from how he was acting now.

San showed the boy to the studio and they were met with utter chaos.

"what is happening here?" San asked, confused.

"Well you see... we wanted to have a small welcoming party for Seungjun and well, Wooyoung dropped the cake," Mingi said to the boy who only let out a sigh.

"I'm so sorry about them," San said as he turned to Seungjun who was looking at the chaos with a small smile on his face.

The boy shook his head, "it's okay... thank you" He said.

He didn't expect to be welcomed this warmly, to him the world of idols always seemed competitive. He didn't expect others to be this friendly with him, someone who still had no skill or experience.

San introduced his friend to Seungjun before the little party started, Seungjun was surprised to see that although they are idols and very serious on stage that they could all be so playful, it made him feel more comfortable.

Jongho and Seungjun especially got along, they were the same age so it made talking a lot easier for them.

A phone ringing caught everyone's attention, Seungjun scrambled to fish his phone out of his pocket, he excused himself and went to the other side of the room and answered the video call.

"Hyung~" came through the phone, it caused Seungjun to laugh a little.

"Mnnie~"

"Hyung are you settling in well? Have you met any idols yet?" his little brother asked excitedly.

"Gyuminnie, hyung is settling in well, so don't worry okay? And for idols" Seungjung said and peeked over the phone to the boys who were watching him curiously, San smiled at him and jumped up running over to him, he popped his head into view, which caused Gyumin to let out a loud squeal.

"HYUNG IT'S CHOI SAN, HYUNG YOU MET HIM," The younger boy said, his reaction caused everyone in the room to laugh "Hyung there are more people there," Gyumin asked tilting his head a little.

San took Seungjun's phone and proceeded to show the boy everyone that was in the room when he got his phone back his little brother's face was pure surprise.

"Hyung how..."

"San-ssi is going to help me train..."

"Lucky~ I should've auditioned instead, hyung let's switch places" the boy whined.

"Sorry Gyumin, I will be keeping your hyung," San said, causing Seungjun to look at him flustered.

"Minnie are you talking to Junnie?" a female voice called out from behind Gyumin.

"Yep mommy," the boy said, San saw a lady walking up to Gyumin with a big smile.

"Honey are you okay?" the lady asked Seungjun.

"Yes mommy, I'm okay, is mama still at work?" he asked, he hasn't been away from home very long but he already missed his mothers.

"No, she is downstairs, want me to call her up for you?"

"Yes please" the boy said and she nodded.

"Siyeon-ah come here, we are talking to Junnie"

Running could be heard and soon another lady joined them, it surprised San a little he really wasn't expecting it.

"Baby~ mama misses you already, please take good care of your health okay?" the lady told him and he nodded.

"I will mama, I miss you all as well, oh and this is San... he will be my producer"

"Wait you're the boy that's on all Gyumin's posters"

"Oh? Hehe, I hope to meet him someday" San said with a wink.

Their conversation kept going for a little more before they hung up.

"Sorry about that my brother is a big fan of idols especially all of you," Seungjun said.

"It's fine," Seonghwa reassured the boy.

Their little party continued before they all said their goodbyes and went to their rooms.
