Tallulah's Point of View-

I turned off the lights in my bedroom and went under the covers with the full intention of going straight to sleep. It was only 8:30 but tomorrow was my first day of senior year and I didn't want to feel like crap. School already sucks as it is. But unfortunately sleep didn't feel like visiting me tonight, so I just layed there tossing and turning for what seemed like hours.

"Jesus it's hot" I jerked up and threw the covers off of me. Pausing to look at my baby pink blanket, the whole room was covered in that lovely hue. Pink dresser, carpet and little decorative butterflies tied the room together.

Not exactly my style. My mother decorated the room when I was little and it hasn't changed since. I took a deep breath. I wasn't going to just lay there, waiting for morning to come and wasting the last precious moments of summer. I needed to do something, before all of my free time was inevitably replaced with homework and college applications.

Smiling to myself, I knew just what to do. Something that never failed to deliver when it came to excitement.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Time Skip~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Rose!", "Rose!" I whispered, knocking on my bestfriends window hoping to wake her up.
Flashback
After calling a couple times and just getting voicemail, I figured she was asleep. I ended up doing the only thing I could think of without waking her parents. I grabbed my old and torn map, biked over to her house and was now panting heavily on her front porch.
End of Flashback
Knocking frantically on her window, my bike laying in the front yard and praying to Jesus that her parents hadn't recently installed any security cameras.
"Rose! Wake up!" I heard a squeak and the window opened.
"Tally?!" she whispered angrily and somewhat confused.
"What are you doing?"
She looked at me from inside her room, her blonde hair was a mess and she looked like she had just been awoken from a deep slumber.
Wow, what time did she go to sleep? She normally stays up later than me.
Giving her my best puppy eyes and serious face combo, I explained the situation; "This is our last day until school starts, until we can't do squat, so we need to do something amazing, we need to go on an adventure"
She just looked at me incredulously. In her defense, she had just woken up.
"What?" she sighed
"Come on!" I whined
She just looked at me again, rolled her eyes and said with a sigh, "Where are we going?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Time skip To In The Woods~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After walking in the woods for however long, we were both starting to get a little tired, it was late after all. We argued for a bit about whether or not we should just go back, until we stumbled upon a clearing in the woods.

Disappointed, I looked at the map again.

"Whelp, this was not where I intended us to go" I said, I had wanted to go to this place I had found while wandering the woods a while back. I didn't have enough time at the moment and was alone, but I suspected it to be a cave and wanted to check it out. Not that I was going to tell Rose that. We've had issues with caves in the past. Not being able to help myself I smiled at the memory. The best thing about caves, is that you'll never know what you'll find.
