Chapter 3

When we got to Luke's house, I felt awkward. I haven't seen his family in so long, Which is not a shock because dad wouldn't let me leave the house. I stood at the door awkwardly while Luke put my bag in his and Jai's room. "Ariel, it's good to see you, I haven't seen you in such a long time" Luke's mom said while walking out her room. She came over to me and gave me a hug. I missed her so much. She was like a second mom to me and she always said that I was the daughter she never had. She let me go and smiled at me. I smiled back at her. "Luke told me everything that has happen to you" She said sadly. I instantly go upset. "And I just want you to know that we are not going to treat you any different than before, ok, we will always love you, no matter what has happen to you, we still love you" she said with tears in her eyes. I instantly burst into tears. I love this family. They are so understanding and I hope they are always there for me because I'm always going to be there for them. Luke came back and sat down with me and Gina. "So Gina, how's life been" I asked while wiping some left over tears. "Life's been good, I've been less stressed than usual and the boys are helping me around the house"She said smiling again. "Aw, that's nice" I said. "Well mom, I'm going to go surprise Jai and Beau ok" Luke said smiling. "Ok, dinner is going to be ready soon" She said walking into the kitchen. Luke and I walked to his room where Jai and Beau were playing video games. "Hey guys guess who's here" Luke said while I stood by the door where they couldn't see me. "Who?" Jai said. I entered and they both had shocked faces. I laughed at their expressions and instantly got attacked by Jai's bear hug. "Oh my gosh Ariel, I missed you so much, I haven't seen you in forever!" Jai yelled. "I missed you too, but Jai, your squishing the side I had surgery on" I said in pain. "Oh, sorry" he said. I looked over at Beau, he rolled his eyes and continued with the game. I looked at Luke and Jai with a confused look on my face and they both shrugged. I went up to Beau to give him a hug and he just pushed me away and left the room. "Why is he mad at me" I said getting tears in my eyes. Luke and Jai noticed and gave me a hug. "I don't know but I'm going to find out" Luke said letting me go and exiting the room. I ran after him and stopped him in the hallway. "Luke, let me talk to him, I'm the one he's mad at, so let me handle it" I said. He looked unsure but gave in. He walked away and I stood at the door. I knocked,"Who is it?" Beau said. "Ariel" I said getting nervous by the second. "Go away, I don't want to talk to you" He said. I reached for the handle and twisted it. It opened and I entered his room. "GET THE FUCK OUT" he yelled. I was taken back at the way he yelled at me. Beau never yelled at me, even when I got on his nerves, he would never yell at me. I must of zoned out because I felt Beau trying to push me out his room." No I'm not getting out until you tell me why you're mad at me" I said trying to stay in the room. I struggled to stay in but Beau ended up pushing me so hard that I fell on the floor and banged my head instantly getting a major migraine. I guess everyone heard my head bang into the floor because I suddenly saw Luke and Gina run over to me. "What happened?" Luke said. "I tried to ask him why is he mad at me and he just pushed me out of my room" I said as tears fall out my eyes from the pain. Gina got up and knocked on Beau's door. "What are you doing" I said looking at her nervously. She ignored me and kept knocking on Beau's door until he opened the door. He eventually opened the door. "What Mom?" he said annoyed. "Why did you do that to her Beau?" Gina said. "What are you talking about, I didn't do anything to her, she's lying" he said. "Bullshit" I said still crying. "Beau you are grounded, now give me your phone" Gina said. "WHAT!! BUT I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING" Beau yelled. "Give it, now" she said firmly. He rolled his eyes and gave her the phone. He glared at me and slammed his door shut. Gina walked away but came back to give me pills for my migraine and a glass of water. I said thank you and drank the pills then gave her the glass of water. She walked back to the kitchen to finish dinner, while I sat there holding my head. I was still crying at the fact Beau did that to me. I seriously did nothing to him. I felt myself being lifted off the ground and being taken to the room. I noticed that it was Luke that had picked me up. He put me in his bed and cuddled with me. " Are you ok" he said looking worried. I just shook my head, feeling like, if I talk I will burst into tears. I rested my head on Luke's chest, thinking about everything that has happened to me. He started to sing "Drunk by Ed Sheeran" to me trying to calm me down. He knows I love that song, so he always sings it to me when I feel like crap or when I'm having a bad day. I start to feel my eyes get heavy and Luke's voice fading. Before I knew it, I was asleep. I woke up to Gina shaking me telling me it was time for dinner. I got up and walked to the kitchen. I noticed that my migraine went away and I thanked God it did because if it didn't, I was going to kill someone. I sat at the table and grabbed a plate and some food and started to eat. It was awkward at dinner since what Beau did to me. We just sat there looking at our plates. No one talked and it kind of made me feel like it was my fault that all this was happening. If I haven't came to Luke's house, everything will be the same. All of this made me feel guilty and sad. I excused myself from the table and went to Luke's room and cried myself to sleep.
