Lisa felt herself being shaken and woke up. Shadows rearranged themselves until they solidified as Marcy. "Huh?"

"Are you hungry?"

Questions flew through Lisa's muddled mind. "I'm sleepy."

"Lunch isn't ‪until noon‬ so I'd advise you to eat before then."

Why'd they eat at specific times?! Lisa could cry but just sat up. She blinked rapidly before slipping from the high bed.

"Make your bed."

"I don't make my bed at home."

"This is my home."

Lisa frowned but made her bed.

"Go wash your face and pee."

"You're making me pee?"

Marcy knew she had to pee anyway. It was human nature. "Yes."

Lisa stomped to the bathroom.

"If you want to keep your feet, I recommend lighter steps." Marcy pulled her phone out.

Lisa gulped but stepped lighter as she closed the door. She found she did have to urinate so she did and washed in the sink. She felt much more human and awake. Was that why Marcy made her do it?

She exited the bathroom and saw the room was empty. She felt let down and abandoned because she didn't know where to go and even though she felt wary of Marcy, the brunette was the person she'd seen the most of this entire time.

The door opened. "Come on."

Lisa brightened. She didn't leave her behind! The blue eyed child went to the door and followed Marcy down to the kitchen.

"This is Mr. Manny. He's our chef. Mr. Manny, this is Lisa."

Manny smiled. "Hola, Lisa."

"Hi." Lisa stood close to Marcy.

"You can sit at the island or the table." Marcy told her. "But whatever you put on your plate, you've got to eat. We don't waste food here."

Lisa nodded.

Marcy went to the table to sit. Lisa sat next to her. Marcy raised an ebony eyebrow but said nothing.

"How did you sleep?" Ellen asked.

Lisa shrugged.

"Do you like your room?"

Lisa nodded as she was passed pasta. Who ate pasta for breakfast?!

"You'll get to meet more family and some of our friends today." Mal smiled at her.

"More family?"

"They're annoying." Marcy put a small amount of vegetables on Lisa's plate.

Lisa frowned.

"Lisa's right, baby." Mal teased. "Family isn't annoying."

"You must not remember who you're related to." Marcy gave herself some veggies.

He beamed because that was something she would have said prior to her ordeal. "You're right. I can only stand the people in this house."

Ellen laughed. "Mal!"

Marcy made eye contact with him and his being lit up. "Baby, they're annoying. We all know it. Especially Mike."

Ellen gasped. "But Mike is so sweet!"

"You haven't seen his horns." Marcy spoke up.

"Good morning all!" Laura's sweet tone echoed throughout the kitchen.
